Can anybody tell me why you don't ever get Conservative supporters hurling abuse and committing violence at events with Labour MPs speaking?

It's just the kind of "supporters" they attract. It's like a collective illness.

Far left politics is more emotive and hence you get more neurotic people within its ranks.

The reaction to this Mogg incident gives me some hope for UK politics (though the media ignored the regular abuse and attacks on Nigel Farage when he used to speak). Here in the US, this type of thing happens almost every week and the number of people and levels of vitriol is 50 times larger. The mainstream media and Democrats choose to ignore or even justify these sorts of actions. However, all the while we have the likes of Momentum gaining a foothold in British politics there is a danger this sort of thing will occur more often.

From the Joseph Rowntree Foundation report - One in five people living in poverty in the UK including 4 million children and 1.9 million pensioners. [Link]

From the Shelter report - 4,500 people are living sleeping rough and around 300,000 do not have a permanent home i.e homeless [Link]

Poverty is real in the UK it may not be absolute poverty, although some people do find themselves in this state, but is real nonetheless and I very much doubt he has a clue about it.

Hi Nick.

In your world, people would be a lot worse off. Ask the average Russian.

The far left believe words are violence and the more powerful they feel the more they will look to close down or disrupt their opposition.

If this is the level of intelligence and debate offered up by the right of centre, then I can see exactly why smacking one of their poster boys is so appealing to peopel

Oh while I'm on the subject of that piece of s*** Rees-Mogg, a 'man' happy to claims there is no justification ever for a woman to have an abortion? Even.

And yet vile t*** is happy to invest in Kalbe Farma, a company whose drugs are responsible for over 2 miilion terminations a year.

I'm proud to look elsewhere for my role models and ideology.

Yeah, just hit 'em if you don't like their politics.
I'm sure the bloke who killed Jo Cox had a similar mentality.

Sorry.....I know it's hard for idiots to understand but Trump has changed no laws on speech....you take his wind up comments on twitter and react like an emotive snowflake.....just as many on the far left do.

Amusing that you pour scorn on the level of debate and then in the next paragraph call Rees-Mogg a 'piece of s***'.

Obviously not a man afraid of paradoxical statements.
