At 26 with no obvious signs of brilliance it does seem like we may have dodged an expensive bullet. Remember everyone wanting Ross McCormack? And then he got fat and shipped out to Australia after moving to Villa for £12m. A lot of average Championship players have moved for big money in recent years. He could have fitted well into the team and been brilliant, but I just can't see it. The Danish lad looks better from the clips and he's much younger. Maybe we'll get neither and Bentenke will remain lonely (#BringBackJonathan)

OK folks, for what it's worth I did say after everything was sorted out I would say who my source was. I work with the mother of Hugill's best man. She was texting her son for me (us) who was in turn texting Jordy directly.

Glad we got the unknown Norwegian rather than this fella. Looks s*** , overpriced and his Twitter video was one of the most cringeworthy I have ever seen. Hopefully he will read the comments from wet sham fans, most were f*** off c*** and we let Upton Park for this s*** f*** off, northern c*** etc.

I can confirm Hugill travelled to London on Tuesday night and had talks with Palace. Preston and Palace had not agreed a fee but Preston knew he wanted to leave so allowed him to speak to Palace and have a medical. Whilst that was happening WH made a bid which was bigger than ours which Preston accepted and Hugill was also offered a better contract with the spammers.

A 26 year old with no good season in the lower leagues!!
