I'm with Willo on fat Gabbiadini. From the top of my head the fee was around 2 mil - which was big at the time [considering Wright to Arsenal was 2.5 mil]. He certainly was big. I reckon he scored about three goals and ate all the pies.
He did replace Wright as ballast on the team bus but that was it.

Steve never saw him play I believe.

Has Stern John been mentioned? Not saying he was the worst EVER but he wasn't great either.

Jordon Mutch and Ade Fvckinbadbuy.

Gabbiadini was a decent player but the wrong choice by Coppell and Noades for such a direct side. Also had no chance of replacing Wright.

Mutch was pedestrian on his debut as a sub against Everton and nothing has changed. If it looks like duck it usually is.

I would say Benteke came with a big reputation as a goalscorer. Never makes in the box runs a top goalscorer would.

Considering expectations' price-tag and his glorious Villa-days, our 1-goal scorer is high on the list. But I still believe there's a prolific goalscorer inside the Belgian.
My top worst top 3 is Aki A., Mutch (dos not seem to bother) and Swedish Tomas Brolin (who BTW was glittering in his younger days. Still remembers his goal in some World Cup).

Tbf, I can barely remember him but every Palace player during that season deserved a service medal.
