Steve Parish is a minority shareholder and the board of directors (of which he is one) will decide his remuneration).

He is paid a substantial salary to manage the club on behalf of the shareholders

Parish gets paid 33% of what Mutch earns, I am sure does more to earn his salary.

The question asked was who is to blame for the signings that didn't come off and the buck has to stop with the man in charge who is paid to make those decisions.

We were after Leander Dendoncker of Anderlecht and their General manager has publicly stated that a deal could have been done if we had approached them earlier than deadline day.

We were also after Brondby goalkeeper Frederik Ronnow but again our approach was made late on deadline day leaving Brondby insufficient time to find a replacement which is exactly what we did to the same club with the same player during the August transfer window.

Who's fault is it that we didn't get our targets as we didn't try and sign them until the last minute?

Why does it have to be someone's fault. This is nothing to do with the popularity of SP or otherwise. Ronnow clearly wasn't our first choice and we were probably indifferent about signing him and I haven't even heard of the other fella until you mentioned him so not sure where he featured in the negotiations. I think we wanted Guaita and it failed because we weren't willing to pay an over the top amount of money now for a guy that is coming on a free in 4 months.

Is it the end of the club because we haven't signed a keeper, no. Is Roy going to leave because we haven't signed a keeper, no. Every decision is taken for a reason. If you or anyone else don't like the decisions being made and blame Parish for them then write to him or go and meet him and tell him.

We are not going to agree on this, simple as.

It could well be the end of our stay in the Premiership if both keepers get injured which is one of the reasons why Roy publically stated that he wanted three keepers.

How do you know what Roy feels about the situation. He may well decide that he needs to retire from football only to pop up again in a few months time. Sound familiar?

This is a discussion forum and it's prime purpose is to discuss all matters pertaining to Crystal Palace Football Club so if I am not happy with some of the actions either taken or not taken by the Chairman then this is the right place to air my views.

Steve Parish is known to look into the forums occasionally so will probably be looking in at some stage to see how his transfer window was received by the fans

OTT amount of money in whose opinion?

'He's coming on a free in 4 months.' Now that every prem club has him on their radar with 4 months for injuries to happen to keepers as well, hence why we need him. We wanted him dirt cheap 2 days ago and the wage / signing on fee bidding commences in June. But you're adamant he's coming.

And you're confident Roy isn't going to leave after failing to sign a keeper with other areas being stretched.

You seem pretty certain of these issues after posting how anybody outside of the inner sanctum knows absolutely nothing. Fact is we're playing a few games of chance we could and should've prevented.

Where did I say I am adamant he is coming. If it were your money would you pay £4m-£8m now or wait until there is no fee? All I am certain of is the sun will rise tomorrow. Oh, and yes I am confident that Roy isn't going to leave over the failure to sign a goalkeeper as I genuinely see him as having more about him than that.

Summing this all up the Players that we sign or don’t sign are all down to Parish.
The good signings are down to Parish, but so are the bad ones.
We are in our 5th Season and might get a 6th,however if Willo is correct and we get relegated, either way it’s down to Parish.
Tomorrow we need to beat the Geordies, but of course we might lose or draw, again all down to Parish.

What I do know is I would rather we had Parish than what Sunderland,Blackburn,Hull and Birmingham have.

Sure, Steve.

Neither of us said you were adamant he is coming, but you said he is coming for free in 4 mi the time.

It would be cpfc money whoever decided to have 3 keepers, which is what Roy kept saying, and what we haven't provided, yet every other club does.

Roy isn't one for making ultimatums in public, but what is obvious, is we need him more than he needs us.

Overall Parish is a great chairman but there are problems with our recruitment, especially in vulnerable, priority areas.

Don't turn up on Saturday or you'll be traveling twice. I did this once when Everton played in the Europa on Sunday and I turned up near Selhurst on Tuesday when the match was on Wednesday.

That'll be hard.

Would you rather be Cardiff? Put that in perspective for a chairman!
