Appears to be nothing but unsubstantiated paper talk but gives an indication that we are not the only ones who are thinking that Zaha could go for the right price: Would we be happy and take 40 mill for him? If Sigurdson went for 45 mill and (if reports are true) Man City, Chelsea and Arsenal looking at him could we get more? What price would we as fans accept?

It would be absolutely crazy to sell Wilf before the Summer. I can imagine that he may want to realise his potential on the big stage of the champions league, but we have to secure safety in this division first and he's under contract after all. I will be gutted (as all true Palace fans will be) when he eventually leaves because it truly will mark the end of an era.

Whom on Earth could we possibly replace him with, even if money were no object? Sell this player = relegated. It's as simple as thar. Edited by chateauferret (19 Dec 2017 8.11am)

What is wrong with people, who are saying “ he deserves to play at a bigger club” etc.

Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

Why do the papers keep saying £40 mill? There is only a handful of better players this season than Wilf. Money in football is disgusting at the moment so seriously, why the hell would we only take £40mill if Parish decided to sell him? We won't sell anyway as he is staying forever. Papers need to piss off.

He is 25; he only has 6 years left to achieve anything of note in his chosen profession. He deserves our blessing when he leaves in the Summer which i fully expect him too. Wilf isn't the kid who went to Man Utd anymore; he is a top player and seems like a top bloke; confident, wise and mature. He needs to be playing his best football at a club where he can win titles and become a great. Sad to say i know.

Champions League football, medals, trophies..... If he stays fantastic - if he goes fantastic for him. Just as long as it is another London club or he won't settle probably. He's spent five seasons as a consistently struggling Premier League club. He has already gone beyond the call of duty with his ability.

How are we going to be an established premier club, if we keep on selling our best players?

How are we going to be an established premier club, if we keep on selling our best players? Liverpool and Spurs are established Premier Leagues club who sell their best players. The key is to know it is going to happen and plan for it; not go into meltdown when bids come in. Our squad is bereft of quality. A massive transfer fee could be wisely reinvested and enable the growth of a genuine perm squad of 16 or so players up to standard.

I'm still wondering who on God's green earth could step into his boots at Palace. I literally can't think of anyone.
