Unfortunately it looks very unlikely that we will have his services next season, even on loan. It's a real shame as he has been a key part of a brilliant left side attacking combination with PVA and Wilf. We really need to find someone with his composure, strength on the ball, skill and passing ability.

In view of our lack of a manager at the time I wonder whose decision it was to bring him in on loan

To be fair what else could he say. He plays for Chelsea so he could hardly say 'hope to see you next season. If he establishes himself at Chelsea i would be more worried if he entices Wilf there.

Wilshere is an injury waiting to happen but he's a Gooner, Young is Manure and Delph is Citeh. Besides, RLC is "too young." I'd take Delph, but the other two are reputation picks rather than merit. If the DT's picks turn out to be true then England should plan an early return after being bounced in the group stage. They've already blew it with Wilf. Over on Sky, Le Tissier picks RLC along with Wilshire and others. I don't get Wilshire, even if he's quality "on his day." When is it? Edited by kenbarr (15 May 2018 1.48pm)

well, we find out tomorrow. I doubt Wilshere is in it, and with Ox injured, RLC has a great chance of inclusion.

Id break the bank for him. Fabulous player. The squad we have now including RLC if it stays fit is top ten quality. Guaita is on his way so the keeper problem is sorted, we just need a tweak here or there

Named in the England squad. Could struggle to sign him if he has a good World Cup.

Shame it says and will say ‘Chelsea’ as his team and not us.

If we bought him and the striker with pace that we need, and another winger. And whoever else, that is millions. It kills palace to spend 30m and we hardly ever go above that, so the only chance of us buying loftus and a striker would mean the forced sale of benteke- but he and Roy have both publicly said he’s going nowhere Edited by matthau (16 May 2018 2.21pm)

I just get the feeling that we won't see RLC in our colours again. With him gone, and probably Cabaye and possibly McArthur it is that midfield 'Engine Room' which will really require some strengthening.
