I haven't seen any of this. I'm just telling you how I interpreted what he said, not whether it was true or not. Here's some of the fans tweet him after the news of Zaha signed his 5 year deal Attachment: IMG_0665.JPG (2,556.20Kb)

I asked a similar question on the BBS - what do you want when you say "Grilling" ? What's your aim? What wasn't asked? I'm happy to hear if people can explain to me what it is they want to hear but more importantly what response they think it will get. Will it be a better, clearer, more informative response than what we got? Oh and confirm to me you actually listened to the whole thing before making an assumption on how the interview was conducted. Not saying people commenting haven't but...you know... If there's good feedback, we can incorporate it next time.

There wasn't enough on the academy and further questions should of been asked, while is our scouting network so poor, and team like Southampton , stoke and wba find gems from abroad but we are unable, is a reastructure needed. Why isn't Gary issot job under threat, after nothing coming from the academy. Why doesn't the club announce transfer fee agreed on their official twitter and website like other sides like West Ham and Man Utd. Why does our club take a long time to complete a medical and transfer of a player. Why was the likes of lapado, mutch named in the 24 man squad, if they are not intended to be used. Not a fan of HOL Radio, and I think the interviews with Parish are usually a bit sycophantic, but you did a good job on this one and asked the relevant questions in a direct manner.

Hambo, I think maybe rather than asking a question and just Parish answering it over 5 minutes, and some of it was waffling and contradicting himself, understandable with the pressure he must be under and feeling, perhaps you or jel or someone may ask him during or at the end of the answer, how or why he ...... (got it wrong if that's the case), and how he'd do it differently next time. Ordinarily you could say this is unnecessary but recently Parish is repeating errors. Btw, I think it'd be a big mistake if he wasn't the head man or one of them but my opinion is different over football matters.

Why doesn't the club announce transfer fee agreed on their official twitter and website like other sides like West Ham and Man Utd. First of all, there is a finite amount of time and I have to manage the topics we cover. To illustrate wh at I mean, we abandoned our 7pm pre-record after spending 45mins talking about ffp. Have we got no "gems" from abroad? I think SP addressed this and rightly pointed out that as palace fans, in general we will notice the successes at other clubs and not the failures. He mentioned Lamine of Southampton and make the point that we have signed Luka and Riedwald in that position. What else did you want? On the academy he has updated us on the training facilities and advised that the very recent appointment of DF is to address the failures to properly manage that academy. Then he pointed out the differences in managing it now vs in the past. What more did you want? Should I have told him off for neglecting it? I am not saying we couldn't have gone into detail but I think to satisfy some predispositions we would need 16 hours and some we would never satisfy. One thing no interviewer, professional or amateur, would do is attempt to start an argument to appease irate people. We have a responsibility to ask questions but also to allow a message to be communicated. We don't need to chase hyperbole or sensationalism content like talksport I think we get a lot more actual information because of that. Not seen one argument that has give any way to changing that view but I'm open to it. Edited by Hambo (18 Sep 2017 2.26pm)

WTF? I think Parish needs to realise just as much as he claims "not all fans are against him, it's only about 50% who are unhappy", similarly not all fans who are now questioning his leadership are doing it regressively & blindly based on some longstanding agenda. There are many people who are genuinely concerned by the decisions and mistakes we keep making, and I've seen plenty of ideas of how things could've been done in a better way. It's been a culmination of f*** ups over a sustained period of time & decisions that can't rationally be understood that have led many to have serious questions of the leadership at the club. We're not all just abusive, defeatist idiots. Quite the opposite a lot of the time in fact. Edited by Mstrobez (17 Sep 2017 10.19pm)
Also a sidenote for Chris (Hambo)...good work with the questions bud but you may wish to re-visit your stock response to everything SP answered with "Fair point (or) That's a fair point" in almost every instance...just an observation...nothing more old bean On the whole, as usual, the show was excellent....oh and thanks for extending it to last for the entirety of my run...I'll buy you a beer for that

To be fair to you, I did have to drop a couple of such follow ups due to time constraints - but I do feel that the information is there in the responses we got. Particularly the references to hindsight.

I was just suggesting there was a semantic difference in what you thought he said and what I thought he said. Apologies if you've taken that personally, it wasn't intended in that way and if I am being fair to you, you probably have proved me/him wrong on that, to an extent, whichever way a person interprets what he said. I'm not sure if it's to the extent you think it is though. The screenshot you sent had a few people celebrating the news and a couple of people (I think I counted 3 actually) specifically praising him for the news.
