I think he should have been given more time, but to be honest he has been a s..t manager, team selection, has been crap for every game, substitutions have been crap, tactics nearly right for two halves, if we could have picked our first four games, we would have picked three of the four we got, and he has messed it up, Parish is damned if he does, damned if he doesnt, its a brave dcision, hodgson and dougie will do much better

My thoughts exactly
Parish has done so much for this club but here we go again like we did with other chairmans in the past and slag them off

Have a read of this [Link]

Claims that Frank told Ward and Kelly they wern't good enough, made them train with the U23s (who beat the first time 3 times in a row in pre-season) and then told them to watch how to play properly instead of taking part in the sessions....only to play both in our first two games.

Makes me think maybe he deserved the sack this early.

what an embarrassment. We rightly tried to evolve the club then completely bottled it when it wasn't all plain sailing. This is why we will only ever be relegation scrappers, because no one running the club is brave enough to make us any better than that and many fans are too scared to see us try to become anything other than that.

Talk about short-termism. Now we have another season of treading water followed by another shambolic search for another 'long-term' manager.

Sick of it

He can't win either way can he? You criticise him for not sacking Pardew early enough, and now you're criticising him for sacking deBoer too early?

Make your mind up.

Agreed, its the Sun, what can you expect?

But I don't think it's best to make Ward sit out training and then play him is it?

De Boer was useless. We didn't score a goal in the league. We made beating Ipswich U14s look difficult with our first string team. It's not that we were too cowardly or short sighted to commit to playing expansive football, it's that Steve picked a crap manager to do it.

Any team can play football, look at Swansea or Wigan under Martinez or Southampton, but they don't have some Dutch pretender who is completely set in his ways and unable to compromise. The reason he was fired was his failingns, he deserved to go.

Burnley could have put three in in the first half and we could have scored 2. Second half we had all the ball and 15 odd half chances because they let us. People were waxing lyrical about the performance when we got beat by Burnley, had a decent chance for dann and Benteke and not much else. Swansea were crap against us and they played the same system and we got beat. Frank didn't know what he was doing.

Steve made a huge mistake in hiring him. Thank God he was fired, even if it was the yanks that stepped in and did it
