If Marco Silva was called Frank Weatherspoon and grew up in Leeds there would be a lot less hype about what he “achieved” at Hull.

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha.

I don't even know why we are still talking about this. Fact is that we were supposedly looking at De Boer, Pellegrino, (some say) Silva and also Sean Dyche.

Fast forward six months, De Boer has been sacked, Silva has been sacked, Pellegrino seems to almost sacked and Dyche has signed a new Contract at Burnley due to the great job he has done.

Our successful managers over the last five years have been Tony Pulis, Alan Pardew (fleetingly), Sam Allardyce and Roy Hodgson.

There is a trend forming, and we are still talking about Parish's holiday in the summer!!

The discussion has developed into Silva's ability as a manager.

The proof will be in the pudding. At the moment, I can see both sides: why Rudi rates him and others view him as a high-octane Pardew.

He does have some exceptional testimonials about traits like attention to detail and tactical planning that I don't think you could accuse Pardew of possessing.

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

Southampton is a year maximum, if you get that long you must have had very good results and got very lucky but they will get rid of you anyway as others have found.

Successful or not, on yer bike.

Serve them right if their next sacrificial lamb turns out to be a double agent working for Bournemouth.

As is everywhere.

Well for a bell end I seem to get a lot right , unlike you mugs that know zero about the game and just repeat whats the popular choice . Marco Silva nor FDB will ever work in the premiership again ~ wait and see !

I think you’ll find that is bollocks. Silva is already being touted for the Southampton job.

Pellegrino , another one people wet their pants about us not getting him.
Let's hope Silva can finish the job there.

Yes and all were, still are, and probably will always be better than Frank. Your point might not involve them but back then they and the selections were the issue.

Let's just hope we're more prepared for the next walk outs or 'sackings' because we certainly weren't when Sam walked and we definitely missed out or didn't want the better ones who some are now describing as god damn awful yet we hired a complete charlatan who nearly destroyed us.

I think Silva is a very talented manager. He nearly saved an unsalvagable Hull side and got a Watford side in near disarray fighting for Europe.

The problem for me is his attitude. When it went wrong at Hull, he DID sulk and wanted away to further his own career even after the fans begged him to stay. (I know the club is under terrible ownership, but the way he left was still pretty sour imo) And yes, as soon as he was touted for the Everton job, Watford's form imploded. My guess is he got angry at the board for not letting him go and had another sulk after that.

Bottomline, good manager, s***e attitude. That's why I'm glad we didn't get him - our start to the season might have sucked, but I'd MUCH rather be in our current position than Watford's.

I hope so too mate, but Parish said in his FYP podcast that "he doesn't think about the next manager." Mate, I get it's not a nice topic, but we've had nine managers in less than eight years since you've been here. Don't you think MAYBE that should be a possibility worth considering, especially with the age Roy's getting to? Maybe then we wouldn't have broken the top flight record for worst start to a season and had to sack our manager after four games?
