At the moment i would stick to a back four and a stronger midfield. SA had a top class leader in Sakho that is how we got out of trouble without him we were poor with one or two good results. We are a few players short at the moment so lets give FDB time to get them back.

What about it? We signed players after that debacle and don't have the same problems which he inherited.

The difference with Sam and this idiot we currently have is this

After the Sunderland defeat Sam was asked is it going to turn around
To which Sam bluntly answered
" Its not going to turn around until the players fully understand and listen to what Im telling them "
Sam was completely confident of staying up as long as the team followed his exact instructions .
FDB isn't even sure if the team should play 3 , 4 or 5 at the back and when they did get hammered last Saturday gave weak excuses and brushed it off .
Hopefully the spanking we are gonna get up at Liverpool ( and we will get one ) will shorten his tenure even more !!!

The facts are clear we have a very aged and weak defence, even the GK cannot be trusted, FdB has no PL experience, the basics need to be sorted before we can progress and unless we can stop teams scoring against us what we do up front does not really matter as currently we would need to score 2 0r 3 goals every game just to stand a chance of picking up points. We have only won one third of our home games over the last 4 seasons in PL and until we can play well enough at home we are always going to struggle whatever brand of football we play. SP has to act now and shore up this defence, especially so as after this weekend we could well be 6 points behind Huddersfield who are most peoples favourites to be in the relegation fight with us!
