Interesting to see how schalke knock it about at the back. They are a Southampton or Everton level club wouldnt you say. I remember them in Europe in recent years

Parrot

Think they were 10th in Bundesliga last year so similar to our standard on paper

Albeit that was regarded as a poor year for them, and it would be a good year for us.

If you come to a fork in the road, take it.

Loftus Cheek is looking like a fantastic pick up - looks a proper box to box midfielder with a bit of quality.

Well yes, based on last years standings and the quality of leagues were about the same... BUT, they came runners up in 2010 which gives the distinct evidence of them being atleast a level above where we're at. Have to say PVA has been fantastic today, really starting to rate this guy. On the flip side Puncheon has been shockingly bad. RLC looks a very useful player too.

1/6/2010.a new era.we made it everyone!!!lets get the ball rolling for another 105 years of proud history.thank you cpfc2010.

A good work out against a very good side. We didn't look quite at our best, and it's clear that a few additions are needed, but the sysetm is working better than I think most of us expected.

Loftus-Cheek looking like he might make a decent starter rather than just a body in the squad.

On paper they have one of the best young teams in Europe, some fantastic players on the bench. Last season was a disaster for them.

Well a good showing today against a decent team and overall a good pre season but definitely a few more dips into the transfer kitty before August 31

But we struggle big time when our defenders try to shortpass the ball. Like we lose some of the agression typical for British football. And this must be Luka's last game as right back, simply too slow and do a lot better job in midfield. Please don't be too stubborn, FdB..
