Like I say, I don't think this is going anyway in terms of proving anything actually happened...it's all interpretation. While I agree with you general view about Russia there is definitely an argument for Trump's approach to Russia as being more productive. I have mixed feelings about it whilst agreeing with yours and the democratic..and to be fair majority republican view on it. I don't understand how you don't understand this. There is a law on the books in the U.S. [Link] that states that political candidates / campaigns are forbidden from accepting money or "anything of value" from any foreign person or entity. That means Russia or Russians, Saudi or Saudis, or even you.

Private individuals colluding with a foreign adversary to disrupt a democratic election = No biggy.

Can they not allow trans people to serve without paying for gender reassignment surgery? Do they have to throw the bay out with the bathwater?

I'm not. If you are a heroin addict you should be discharged. The forces don't exist to hold your hand. Weak people in the forces should be weeded out. I don't care about your sexuality but people who can't control their stuff shouldn't be there.

If you took this exact situation, replaced Trump with Obama and the Russians with a Muslim Nation, it would suddenly be 'the end of the world'. When it's instead with a nation 'like ours' with a 'strong leader' it's a shrug of the shoulders. There is a reason that Putin scores higher than Obama in favourability polls of Republican voter views.

Officials in Russia or anyone else can push something under the door of a journalist with known political preference....say a document with information or how to obtain it. They get in touch with the campaign team...and no one knows any different. Put it up online and it's the same. But email a member of the Trump team.....oh no...the sky has fallen down. Do you understand now? Information for favours however...that is something different. Edited by Stirlingsays (26 Jul 2017 6.53pm)

I do think Clinton has been influenced by middle eastern countries for cash donations.....Have you seen me moaning about it....'the end of the world' nonsense. You have prejudices that require adjustment if you have an interest in accuracy.

I wonder if those who have already had gender realignment treatment will now be kicked out? At that point surely any treatment wouldn't cost the military much and they may even be able to legally argue that they are now the sex they have reassigned to and are not trans anyway. Of course I don't think any of them should be kicked out, but I'm just thinking about how it might pan out.

From what is already publicly available, I would suggest that it goes a bit beyond 'cash donations'.

I didn't say that, please re-read if you don't understand. I'd say what I like to anyone's face, if I want to, thank you very much. I'm nobody's coward. Anyone who expects their employer to pay for their personal issues is weak and wrong. An exception would be for events happening after employment that were related to their job.

Yet does his pretty much totally negative media report report that? There's a lack of evenness. A lot of what Trump tweets about is...well to put it politely BS but on the unreliability and bias of the mainstream news media he is definitely not wrong. I don't think he can take a lot of credit for the increase. The business cycle is much longer than the 6 months for anything he does to have a large impact and he really hasn't enacted any legislation that would change anything economically. What he can take credit for is not degrading the business environment in that time. The next 6 months will be the test. If he can get tax reform through, things should look up, regardless of the circus. Edited by redshift (26 Jul 2017 7.07pm)
