In fairness I think you could make a great film or novel out of a transgendered James Bond. What you can't do I think, is just drop a transgendered Bond into a story, and do nothing with that.

Same with Dr Who. If its just a woman acting in the same way as a man, its pointless. Like a said, Transgender James Bond is a great story / movie waiting to be told. Just making a Bond film which has a transgendered or female bond, that acts like every other Bond is boring.
