This is the most hilarious general talk thread this week.

Jacob Rees Moog is the Swivel Eyed Loons' Swivel Eyed Loon of choice.

Please make him leader of the tories. I would pay my membership fee to get him elected. If it worked out for the tories like this has for the tories voting for Corbyn so be it but it would be great fun. Perhaps all his young Moogite fans would all take to wearing a monacle. OH - I forgot they all do already. lol.

But since he is not even a minister and is from the fruitcake wing of the party there is no chance he will get anywhere near the leadership of the tories. However UKIP would be a different matter...

One of the most disappointing things to have happened to me in recent times was to see this thread, excitedly open it and see that Jrm was regrettably not dead. The only politician I hate more (by way of accidental balance) is Keith vaz. I would happily see them both placed inthe same pine box and buried at sea while still alive.

The next prime minister?! You must be fu***my joking.

So you'd be quite happy for Diane "lying bitch pig in knickers" Abbott to steal oxygen on a daily basis, but JRM must die ?

That speaks volumes my friend.

What, like the 'Wing, legs and head' of the Labour Party with their sexism, racism and authoritarianism which has reached toxic levels.

What makes you think that I don't find Labour authoritarianism even more objectionable and dangerous than the Hard Breixiteers.

Willo - you are making assumptions for my views that you have no evidence for making. Just because I make a statement against JRM and the Tory right, it does not allow you to make assumptions that I support labour or the hard left.

Polarisation of politics by people is what is poisoning this country (and the USA). Please consider that some people are not as Dogmatic and are far more nuanced than you give credit for.

I would appreciate an apology but am not holding my breathe.

All I was doing was responding to your comments relating to "Fruitcake wing".

I never sought to offend you in any shape or form and in the past I have on more than one occasion apologised if I have offended anyone, adding that NO offence was intended at all.

If you meant that "Fruitcake wing" was the right-wing of the Tory party then I am part of that 'Wing'. Maybe I should be offended by these comments !

The term Fruitcake WRT to the Brexiteers as you know was coined by David Cameron and has passed into common parlance. As far as I know it is worn as a badge of honour by many of them - in much the same way as many are now proudly wearing "Sabouteur" or "enemy of the people" badges from the staunch remain camp.

My point is purely that you shouldn't make assumptions about other peoples politics if they reject your politics. It is not a black and white world - us against them - as much as the Daily mail would like to shape the atrgument in that context. We all need to reject the either "with us or against us" rhetoric or we will find ourselves in very dark places.

Apology accepted.

What is the Daily Mail doing - can't quite follow your drift.

Given your comments relating to JRM, it is totally understandable that assumptions were made.

In life people make a plethora of assumptions based on the 'Evidence' before them.

If I had just come on HOL and made disparaging comments about Corbyn (And nobody knew my political persuasion) it is probably fair to say that the majority would deem me a Tory.

Anyway we have both made our points on this matter so let's move on !

A strong belief ridden Catholic will be up for discrimination against Gays, pro-choice groups and even a smidgen of anti-semitism. No, thanks.

Keep uk politics secular.

Absolutely impossible to Police, in addition to being completely against the grain with regards democracy.

Yet more Kermit prejudice dressed up as social justice.
