Simple. Lots of conditional add-ons and fund it by dumping Puncheon.

Of course though if we're getting another midfielder the player he's likely to be replacing is McArthur.

A definite nailed on Parish signing then !!

How would this work, we can't loan him as we've already got two loanies. Surely we won't be buying him cash up front without seeing him perform for longer injury free?

Maybe have the transfer and wages heavily based upon league appearances? Only way I guess.

That being said if he's fit and fighting for a England place then potentially we get a cracking player at a knock down price?

Roy Hodgson has denied any link whatsoever saying that it's just his agent trying to drum up interest. He said that Dougie and himself have discussed a number of players but neither Wilshere nor Islam Slimani have been amongst them

True. However,if he really is only 13.5m its difficult to find better value.
I wouldn't be surprised if his agent is just trying to get the ball rolling on a transfer and he actually has zero interest in joining palace

I've not seen the article where Hodgson denies any links to these players but I had not heard of our club being interested in them.

Regards Slimani, his last goal in the PL was back in April.

I didnt actually point that out...well at least i'm not sure that i did.

What I did point out though was that he seems to be getting over this 'injury prone' period of his career if the last 18months are anything to go by and if that's the case...NOW would be the time to go for him...not when he's back up to speed and attracting far better clubs.

Apologies to you your right it was Fledgling.

He's been injured for 133 days in the last 18 months and only returned from his last spell on 6 August, having been out with the same injury that kept him away for 247 days between August 2015 and April 2016. He has an horrendous injury record going back over six years and I don't consider one PL and two LC appearances this season is indicative of his having gotten over anything. We don't need to add to our injury woes by signing another sick note.

We probably have a few more lessons to be learnt there.

Wilshire would be great company for Wickham on the treatment table.

Wilshire is a serious player though and would be worth it on a pay as you play basis.
