Well I guess they've got good weather, booked transport and planned their day out. Rally's can be a good fun day. Get out, meet like minded people, have a few drinks etc. Edited by jamiemartin721 (21 Jun 2017 1.26pm) Agreed, as long as it is like that. Some however go completely wrong.

The brazen exploitation of the victims of the tragedy shames Corbyn's hard-left hate mob. We should not give these people the light of publicity to push there twisted agenda, of course the easiest way of doing this is to improve regulation to ensure landlords provide fit and safe homes and are not faced with the difficult decision of spending 5k extra on fire proof cladding or allow at least 79 people to die in an inferno. That would stop these opportunist in their tracks.

Well take a joke as it is meant to be. I have seen you call people names for believing something different to you on the GE2017 thread. Do not give it out if you cannot take a joke, and say you are being targeted. Fair enough, I'll let you get back to your Hindley / Brady shrine.

Yeah I was young and rebellious, but I was also bought up with manners and respect (by working class parents),so not to damage other people's property or be nasty for the sake of it.

Skin as thick as a rhino me. Just seems a bit pathetic. Willo gets the same undeservedly imo. Really? Your not the HOL pin cushion and no one wants to censor you. It's great there are differing opinions on here but be a bit more imaginative than trawling the Syrian Fisherman's Monthly magazine for news that a boy fell off a boat and then posting that Theresa May was warned this would happen years ago and all Tories are cunds. You're just bashing this drum with the same beat and everyone's got a headache. Look at the New Manager thread and read how people offer opinions and even change their minds. I used to find SydTheEagle excellent for making me think and even dannyh when he posts true life experiences from his profession give you that other viewpoint. There isn't always a 'right' opinion. A lot of people who voted Brexit really just wanted the UK to stop being shafted by the EU and not be used to prop up the Greek economy. A lot of people who voted for their Local Tory Cund don't like a lot of the Conservative policies or politicians but on balance believe they will lead the country better than Corbyn. You stopped constructively contributing to this site many years ago - which is a shame as I remember you used to be a bit of a laugh. But if all you're going to do is post how you don't like the Tories and everything that's wrong in the UK is their fault then you should be prepared for some more ad hominen responses. Luckily you have skin as thick as a Rhino.

What he means is that the country is filling up with Labour voters, AKA immigrants and their offspring, just as Tony Blair hoped, while white middle class birth rates are falling away. You know. The sort of people who are too busy working to demonstrate.

Do you not accept that is a massive leap of faith on your part? You just don't know why people voted how they did. It's the equivalent of saying "the Tories had a 'mare but still have the largest number of seats, therefore the public has just given a massive vote of confidence to austerity". It makes no sense - it's just seeing what you want to see. How were they voted against comprehensively? Just because most parties had a different spending approach in their manifesto among the multitude of other policies? See my brexit example in the previous post - the way this is all going, I suspect a new referendum may well return a 'remain', yet 90% of voters voted for parties favouring brexit, and the parties rejecting brexit got pasted. You're just cherry picking manifesto pledges and assuming that is what people voted for because that's what you voted for (presumably). No not really. It's as much a leap of faith as to say a majority voted for one particular Brexit route in last year's referendum. Or that a majority voted to leave the single market. Actually it's less of a leap of faith than that. It's a clear rejection of austerity and Tory mismanagement over the last 7 years. More than 54% of voters chose parties who are diametrically opposed to austerity, with this as the central plank of their manifestos. I like Tim Farron's joke today that the Tories only announced a Space Bill so that they could send their manifesto up into space and hope everyone forgot it existed. In terms of Brexit, clearly it wasn't a big issue and most people have accepted it's going to happen, but more people again voted against May's hard Brexit, her tautologies and foolish soundbites.
