Not the point. What she said has been all over the news and people will believe it.

I'm sure you recall the words of Lenin "A lie told often enough becomes the truth".
This is what Corbyn and his comrades are doing with this terrible tragedy repeating over and over again their charges of "Cuts" etc.Alas the facts contradict many of Labour claims.

Very relevant when one considers the words of Comrade Corbyn,McDonnell and Abbott in respect of Grenfell playing politics with the tragedy portraying Conservatives as murderers.

Disgraceful behavour - The mask has well and truly slipped from these extremists.

On that note I bid you all goodnight as I am off to bed save in the knowledge that Comrade Corbyn is NOT in 'No 10' thank the good Lord.

I think it is very much the point.

There isn't a politician in there who hasn't been accused of lying.

Over the point specifically I'd need to read from an objective source. One of your issues Nick is that you take from very biased news sources and then present it as though you are revealing some truth.

Dear oh dear, the old it's lefty so I won't acknowledge that it might contain a grain of truth (or if you are Hoof, dismiss it without even reading it) argument.

The piece provides sources and evidence that show May was lying. What more do you need?

Aren't you a history teacher? Doesn't that involve looking from all sides to get a truer picture...

In my view, the Conservative philosophy of light touch regulation and leaving things to the profit driven markets does indeed place a degree of culpability on the Tories. Not murder, That's premeditated more like manslaughter. But they shoulder some of the blame.

The whole Grenfell tragedy is political, however much you say it isn't. It concerns the treatment of thousands upon thousands of human beings in substandard unsafe housing. It's about the complete lack of a sense of control that May showed immediately after. No one went there to organise things. That's failing the people you are supposed to represent.

The fact that all those tower blocks have flammable cladding is political. Saving money because of 40% cuts to council budgets or because more money can be saved equalling more profit.

So again, don't mask and avoid questions about how Tory dogma played it's part in the sorry event by saying you're making it political. It is political.

Either what she said is a lie or it isn't. Those are the two options. The same applies when Corbin says something. The whataboutism and campaigning style replies are irrelevant.

It is only political because Labour are making it so for partisan gain.

You go on,like Labour about "Cuts" but the facts contadict so many of Labour's risible claims. The installation of flammable cladding had nothing to do with Tory "Cuts". On the contrary it was part of a refurbishment programme costing £8.65 million or £360,000 for each floor, hardly an indicator of austerity.

Also the cynical hogwash about the "Cuts" to the Fire Service. The lady head of the 'London Fire Brigade' categorically stated that there were no issues about the number of firefighters fighting the blaze.

Also if Labour wish to holler about "Murderers" they might consider the fact that the majority of tower blocks that have so far failed tests are in Labour municipalities including Manchestrer and Sunderland.

Hrolf

Interestingly at the bottom of the article there was mention of a chap whose opinions have been cited as "ultra-left and sectarian" by Owen Jones, has written for the 'Morning Star' and can be seen as a regular commentator on 'Russia Today'.

I've told you already that your use of this word is an insult to the victims and to our intelligence. You and those trying to quell those who want justice are the only disgraces on show.

It's about as political as it gets, and the Blair government should also be under suspicion. Cameron's bonfire of the regulations and health and safety must be reversed.

Tonight the Tories proved beyond doubt what they think of the people who do their best every day to protect the public, Our Emergency Services staff......Prison Staff... Our firefighters, nurses, police officers . Yeah the tories think they do a good job. But They do not think they are worthy of a pay rise.........

Today they had an opportunity to help those nurses who find themselves having to feed their families by going to food banks, or the fire fighters who walked in to the fire at Grenfell Tower, or the Police Officers who were on London Bridge and in Borough Market trying to stop terrorists from killing people. Or the Paramedics who saved people's lives by lifting the 1% pay cap on public sector workers.

Today the 28th June 2017.... Remember it, the day the tories proved exactly what they think of these incredible people who we should treasure... AND NOTE THAT WHEN THE RESULT WAS READ OUT. THE TORIES CHEERED.... UNBELIEVABLE.

Happy to accept 7 years of above inflation pay rises for themselves though!

Their messaging was all over the place as well saying it was time to end the pay cap and then following partisan lines just to prop up May's enfeebled government rather than do what's right for the economy and the country.

Total and utter piffle when you consider that 'Tragedy' is defined as" an event causing great suffering, destruction, and distress"

If you wish to deal in fastidiousness in phraseology perhaps you might consider the words of that 'Charming' McDonnell who claimed that the victims of Grenfell were "MURDERED by political decisions". His rhetoric about Tory murders is in keeping with the rest of his career which has been caharcterised by extremism.
