Absolute hogwash. Labour was far more to the left overall under Keir Hardie, the 1945 manifesto and the 1983 manifesto.Indeed, there were things the Blair government did that were to "the left" of what was in the current manifesto. Jamie is right about the hypocrisy. If "communists" being happy about the direction of the Labour Party presently no more makes it a communist party than fascists in the USA being happy with the Republican Party under Trump making the Republicans a fascist party.Be careful or you may give credence to the theory posted about by the OP.

'Fewer' is used for items that can be actually counted, eg 'Labour won fewer seats than the Conservatives'. 'Less' is used for something not countable, eg 'There is less beer in this glass than there is in that one'. Supermarkets that have '8 items or less' checkouts are using grammar incorrectly. Hope this helps.

Attlee and Bevin were very anti-communist, Foot and Benn less so, but Corbyn and McDonnell are fellow-travellers, Trotskyites in Labour clothing.

Nope, because of the historical connotations of white people blacking up, makes it kind of more potentially offensive than people dressing up as a French stereotype.
Not that I'm saying you are racist of course...just that you highlight that it's ok to treat different groups differently upon some historical guilt. Personally I think these judgements are far too sensitive and are restrictions on freedom of expression based upon historical judgements over whole groups....whole groups damn it. I don't believe my relatives owned slaves. Even if they did My skin colour shouldn't define me. This concept that we can have different rules of engagement due to someone's skin colour fits the definition. You have your 'right on' racism and you have your 'demonised' racism. It isn't objective.
