Unless Spurs see him as their future star man which they won't. Happy days. I don't think his wage would be a problem for any Premier team, if Bournemouth can offer Defoe at 34 £135,000 a week.

Best news possible, makes losing our manager mildly less painful as gave players an easy out. Yet another reason to love Wilf and there are so many already!

I hope whoever replaces Sam will continue in trying to get Wilf better protection from referees

Porto want Silva, doubt he will choose Palace instead. Reports are that Silva wants the Premier League which, if true, means it's between us and Watford. Signing Wilf will help. A lot.
We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football. |

Anyone knows if he agreed a limited transfer fee? I do not want to be a pessimist but if it does include anything less then 50 m plus then we could still loose him. Still brilliant news, he is a joy to watch.

I think that Zaha has decided to stay with us to save having to empty his swimming pool, remove the huge Palace crest and have it repainted in the colours of his new club

Glad that he's signed but these wages really are obscene. Zaha's already got Ron Noades' old mansion with indoor pool - does he really need this? My annual season ticket, which I can barely justify, will pay for about 1 hour of Zaha.In the paper today there's talk of Arsenal offering Sanchez £270k per week to stay. Yes, I know there are dozens of PL players on more than Zaha but still I can't help but think that at some point the game will implode.

Need a world war for it to implode now that viewing is global. Zaha's contract extension is now not as big a highlight on the HOL homepage as what the crystals have been doing recently which you'll find is not a lot.
