Nothing other than your gung-ho approach to attacking the opposition with all guns blazing and the abdication of defending our goal cost you your job Alan.
The expression "all your eggs in one basket" springs to mind.

Fact is Pardew can't spot a player for his life. Pushed Jedi out the door for a knackered Flamini, who clearly is just winding his career down here. Remy was a massive, reckless gamble. Mutch - a player he professed to have fracked extensively at Toon, and Lee are never regular prem starters, then there's all his gambles and duff loans. Bombing out Murray for adebayor on massive wages... I'll always have a soft spot for Pardew, and even his t***tishness is strangely endearing, but he is an absolute bluffer and a s*** manager. He's blown his best opportunity in English football and he knows it. Wish him the best but God he should have gone long ago...

Astonishing that chocolate should use the word loyal in the same sentence as "me" unless, perhaps, he's delusional. Seriously starting to think that Steve Coogan based his character on him. His tenure as manager wasn't a disaster by any means as we'd have probably gone down without his intervention in 2015 but he's a good "bounce" manager and did it with somebody else's group of players. The state he left us in when considering it was his team and the wages being paid was a disgrace. Edited by Rachid Rachid Rachid (31 Mar 2017 10.18pm)

He's a decent attacking coach, with pretensions way beyond his station and capacity.

From Holmesdale NEWS article: Antonio Conte "I remember the game very well at Crystal Palace. We deserved to win, but we suffered also. Crystal Palace have a lot of really good players. (Christian) Benteke is a top player, (Wilfired) Zaha, (Andros) Townsend. Another player I like a lot is (Yohan) Cabaye, (Jason) Puncheon. "If you ask my why they stay in this (low) position, I don't know. For me it's very strange. To have a team with this many great players in this position, very strange. It can happen. Last season it happened to Chelsea, for example. "But we have to pay great attention. They won their last three games, and they're sixth in the table over the last six games. So we have to pay attention, above all after the international break. We faced a lot of (injury) problems this week."

To continuously play Kelly at left back when we he was awful every game bar one for me is the reason he deserves the sack. Fryers or a youth player would of been better and for a manager not to recognise we had adequate cover at left back is beyond a joke. Don't blame a car crash- it doesn't take Einstein to work out you need 2 good options for every position

Keeping him on too long has actually damaged his chances of employment so he'll need the extra compo from the contract extension to continue the life he's become accustomed to. So it was cruel on him, and us, keeping an impact manager on for too long who's poor in the transfer market.

If Pardew couldn't come up with better than whoever was on the inside of the back pages then again, we're well rid. No better than Harry Redknapp.
