There are 2 sides to every story but the fact Pulis was called a liar by the unbiased judge in court, was ordered to repay every penny, has been advised by his own council NOT to appeal or he could face ruin AND TP himself has refused to comment (presumably for fear of getting sued further if he is tempted to lie to make himself look good) is all quite telling wouldn't you say?
He tried to shaft Parish. He took him for a young inexperienced Chairman that would bend over and take it up the pipe. His judgement proved to be fatally flawed!

That @rsehole should've been punished by the FA, quite frankly. I wish it were his lot flirting with relegation because if anyone deserves it it's him. T***.

If only Speroni had not made that wonder save v Brighton we could have all been happy.

I recommend anyone on here to youtube this play-off game's highlights to remind us of what we once were.

It is inspiring.

I love that the commentators only realised Julian saved the shot after about two replays.

One of the greatest moments watching Palace. Ever.

I know all about that. I've read the transcript from court, thanks.

What I'd like to know yet we never will is, what happened in the few months regarding squad transfers before any of what was used as evidence in court.

For all we know Pulus may have walked even if he signed whoever he wanted because West Ham had come calling. But from what I remember he signed Kelly within 24 hours before resigning and Parish signed Zaha who it's rumoured he didn't want.

Parish was right to take him to court. I'd just love to know what went on and whether Pulis wanted ageing experienced players who'd see us ok for a couple of years and then stuffed about now. Actually it might be better than what we have. A talented bunch of individuals whose good resale value that'll drop a bit after relegation.

What you do in case a player you have no cover for is get someone in as back up. He might crash his car, fall off a balcony, tear his hamstring, do his ACL, have severe tendon injuries, break a leg, have the manager visit the wife when he's out with the team, anything.

What you don't do is chance it again like you just about got away with in another position because the points accumulated before that problem prevented it being a catastrophe. This I am livid about.

I remember all the talk of Ledley at left back or Ward there again and if it came to it we'd have Flamini at right back. An utter fvcking shambles from that man. Walks away with some of the money saved only its not saved after buying Schlupp and PVA.

He had bad luck? Maybe. With a massive gut busting portion of amateur planning and ineptitude.

Cup Final. It allowed people to ignore a terrible run of form and not address the issues of 19 games and 1 win. I said at the time I would have taken 6 more points rather than a cup final I was pretty alone in this thought, I wonder if that is still the case?

No way I'd happily take the cup final, f*** the 6 points. Give me Pardew the manager who never had us in the relegation zone or as favourites for relegation while you're at it.

When we got ideas above our station and sacked Alan Pardew a manager who never had us truly in relegation trouble. Never in the relegation zone and never in the top 3 bookies favourites to go down. Remember the 3-0 win over Southampton and 4-1 over Stoke? Remember them well cos Fat Sam is incapable of winning games.

I'm pleased to see that the Alan Pardew Fan Club still has one member, other than himself of course

I think you'll find there's many more on here who think Staines is spot on. How anyone can knock the fact that we were looking better in the games preceding Pardews sacking than the diabolical performances since is beyond me. But then I guess that would mean admitting that an individuals hounding of Pardew doesn't look like the wisest of stances in hindsight.

I appreciate that this thread is about "Turning point" in the past.I prefer to reflect on the present and future and hope that the next "Turning point" is next Saturday when we defeat Middlesbrough.Let's not dwell in the past - lets look at the current and future with a positive outlook.

I'd prefer to banish ugly Staines

I'm none too fussed about Ben Shepherd either.

I thought you were on the money regarding Pardew, he was a spinless twerp as a player and a c*** as a manager but think you are going too far with Kate Garraway, she is lovely not just because she has nice tits but as a person she is very friendly and not up her own arse. I have met her twice and she was very nice and is better looking than she appears on tv.
