Everyone I know, every Palace fan I ever talk to, is not happy with Hennessey. But they all must be wrong and you are right, Alan. Alan can you reply to a post without mentioning a comparison to a top six side, like Man City? You are not so hot in the comparison game I think; You once compared Peter Cech and Hennessey. Comparing Man City's squad depth to ours is very similar to comparing Hennessey and Cech. I see you are from Dunstable. I used to live in Tebworth as a nipper. You must have gone dizzy from driving around all of those roundabouts in Milton Keynes, Alan, and maybe its affecting your comparison making ability. If you want to compare a team with worse depth at goalie and striker, you might need to trawl the Sunday leagues. Edited by Maine Eagle (26 Feb 2018 10.45pm) Thats was a funny post. If a little over the top.

My Grandmother is still available to play in goal, and its disconcerting to hear you would support her as our keeper, it means I am correct that you are massively blinkered, Alan. She would let in 20 goals a game and we would be relegated. You are so blinkered though Alan, that you would cheer her name, just because she is in goal for us, regardless of her effectiveness as a goalie. This new keeper we are about to get in is a great example of all that is wrong with Parish. He has had AGES to get the deal done, and was still unable to get it over the line before ANOTHER game with a junior keeper as our number 2. Watching Parish and his team try to get deals over the line is like watching treacle slide uphill. The guy is without a club, has been training with us for days now, but still we haven't been able to sign him. Does something strike you as strange about that? Or reckless? Unprofessional? No other club in this league goes into games with 1 other fit keeper in the squad, who also happens to be a totally unproven kid. Parish is too busy looking at stadium plans to remember we need to sign a goalie. He forgot in the last 3 transfer windows, and still hasn't remembered. As I said on the match thread, we did very well to only lose 1-0. Kane and Aurier missed open goals. We set our stall out and almost pulled it off. The team performed well, but Parish hasn't for years.

Maine Eagle you are a broken record. Do you ever stop with the Parish bashing. (That's rhetorical because we know you don't.) Every chance of a topic that might have something to do with SP you are eagerly there to give your boring retort about everything that is wrong with him. He's done a better job than most chairman we have ever had and has stuck around through the s*** storms and the success. Your constant witterings about things that have gone wrong are tiresome. We get it... You don't like him and you believe you have the answers.... Go make a small team in your local area and let us know how you get on. Edited by CPFCwetrust (27 Feb 2018 5.31am)

It’s only complete knobs who are jumping on him now and berating him for failing when we haven’t even been relegated yet.

Well said that man. you support your team through thick and thin. All of a sudden Parish is being blamed for "wasting money on Benteke" although I didnt hear any complaints when we signed him. It's frankly worrying how people turn on eachother. Did we need more players in January? Yes absolutely but now he's getting criticized on this thread for both going after too many and not signing enough??? We were clearly screwed over by our top two targets who the board were certain we'd sign - you can't go around agreeing to buy two players in every position just in case one goes wrong as I said in another thread a while back - who would do business with us if we did that? These are complex things transfers and we are not the sized club that can just throw money around. For what it's worth I think we'll stay up and am renewing my season ticket accordingly - those that think it's all so bad I suggest you don't bother. Oh yeah and perhaps, just perhaps we are being frugal because we are planning on a new stadium which people have moaned about for god knows how long on here Edited by Littlebogreek (27 Feb 2018 3.50pm)

It's a shame that some people quickly forget the good stuff which in my opinion far outweighs any mistakes he makes. He HAS been great but it WAS a very poor transfer window. However, the longer-term value and ultimately the longevity of the club lies in developing its infrastructure. That's what the board are concentrating on now. With limited funds available I am presuming that reinforcing the team came in second this time? We may survive to play in the PL another season but if we don't, we'll probably see a different type of team next year with youth replacing expensive non-performers.

Edited by CPFCwetrust (27 Feb 2018 5.31am) I used to support Parish 100%. I commended him when he finally splashed some cash on Benteke, as it was a big step for him as a chairman. However he is doing damage to the club now and its in areas where it would be so simple to do things right. What success? Its sh&t storm after sh&t storm, year after year. Your constant witterings in support of a chairman who is totally out of his depth are quite tedious also. See what I did there? I want the club to be successful. I loved it when Pulis came in and steadied the ship for example, that was a great job by Parish to get Pulis in. We all know how that turned out though. Parish has done some good things and made some great strides at the club, but in the last 2 seasons its been a shambles. I would just like to see the club being run properly. Enough strikers, enough goalies, not hiring manager's that 3 year old's could figure out would be a disaster, keeping a good manager for once, etc etc. We need to protect our premiership status almost at all costs. I know some fans wouldn't mind us getting relegated but its not my idea of a good thing.

Speroni is injured, but Hennessey the first choice is still playing, we can only play one keeper at a time!

Under Ron Noades we were a selling club. He was very fortunate with Coppell and Wright making his tenure look much better than it otherwise was. Every time we had a decent player come along he would line his own pockets ahead of the needs of the club. If transfer windows were around then we'd have been praying just to keep what we have. There would have been no chance in him investing in decent players. He just signed cheap donkeys. At the end he just decided to sell the club down the river and its taken us the best part of two decades to recover.
