In a month? Pardew has caused an awful lot of damage at our club. I've said this before and I'll say it again, he was almost universally derided as a Palace player, and rightly so but as a manager, his influence could have devastating consequences. I kind of agree with Mo's sentiments. This season has the feel of inevitable relegation that loomed over us at the start of the 2004-5 season when Speroni did a howler against Everton. We need players with a mindset like this VV,..and quick

And if we do go down, I'd actually lay most the blame with the players, easy to blame both pardew and allardyce while over half the squad just walk around like they couldn't care less.

If you ignore the FA Cup final and top 10 finishes yes. Fact is seasons do not run over a calender year. Alan Pardew has not had a single bad season overall. Season 1: Took over a struggling team and finished in the top 10. Season 2 kept us out of the relegation zone all season and took us to the FA Cup final. And nearly won it too. Season 3: not once in the relegation zone and manager of the month nominee in September. Edited by StainesPalace (22 Jan 2017 10.38am) That all sounds wonderfull the thing I can't get my head around is if that is true why are we so s***e and why are we 19th in the PL with no light at the end of the tunnel?

So now we don't hold Sam accountable for anything that happens from here on and just continue to blame pardew. His paid a stupid amount of money and is supposedly one of the best British managers, there's no excuses, I couldn't care how pardew has left us, allardyce is paid to sort it out. If we stay up he deserves the plauditsp, if we go down his as responsible as pardew. I certainly don't hold Sam accountable now. Only one signing having gone after 20.

I cannot believe that there are people that still think Pardew did a good job? They must still believe that Jimmy Saville was a good egg doing his bit for charity! Pardew has left us in the sh1t and Parrish should have got rid of him within 24 hours of our FA Cup defeat. It's not only his 2016 Premiership record of just 6 wins, it was his regime that saw our ability to defend ruined, our fitness levels drop, our disciplinary record worsen and he removed our captain and midfield ball winner and didn't replace him. He allowed Bolasie, Murray and Gayle to depart relying on Townsend, Campbell and Mutch to replace them? I also blame Pardew for not coaching and mentoring Wilf Zaha who might have stayed content with being on the cusp of the England squad instead he opted to sign for the Ivory Coast and is now missing from our team for over a month competing in the AFCON tournament! To blame Allardyce who has only been able to sign one player to date and to take over a team, low on confidence, short of decent players due to international duties and a long injury list is just plain ridiculous. If we had played Everton yesterday adopting a Pardew "Gung-ho" style, we would have been dicked 4-0 like Man City were last Sunday. It's going to take a few more weeks for Big Sam/Little Sam to turn this around. we need a few more key players to come back from injury and Wilf and Sako to get back from the AFCON. Hopefully we can sign some influential players, but this time of year is not the best. Looking at the fixture list we have games coming up where we can beat those around us and our mini league of rivals have difficult games. Swansea's win yesterday was a shock, but I can't see the rest of the top 6 slipping up like the scousers did yesterday... Chelsea can do us a favour today by beating Hull. Pardew was TOXIC for Palace... he has set us back years. Allardyce will turn this around, but will need time and patience from us fans.

Cannot understand Geordie and checked a local dialect phrase book for the definition of the word 'Pardewed'.

I prefer the name Mildew when referring to 'Supa Al' Mildew forms on a surface when rot has set in. The longer you leave rot to fester, the more damage is done to the structure. We are now in a position where major works are required to replace joists rather than a simple treatment. MILDEW has fcuked Palace.

Getting 0 points in the last 3 games really hasn't helped. Taking into account that we have to play the top 6 we really have only 10 games or so to average 2 points a game, then only getting 36 or so points. Next 5 games are huge, Boro and Sunderland are must wins. Allardyce might improve us but if it is not until the last 8 or so games against real quality we will be stuffed. Whilst he did it for Sunderland achieving some great results along the way doubt whether they had this type of run nor with 6 real quality teams at the top. To add insult to injury every team with the points that the Weeds have now have achieved automatic promotion since 3 points for a win !!! Looks like we might need 2 miracles. COYP !!
