I don't think people realise how difficult it's been without a LB. so little balance in the team everything breaks down. We will be absolutely fine if the Chairmen spend the cash required this window.

So that explains our form since mid-September; what's the excuse for January until then?

The fans deserve better....

We should have taken the opportunity in the summer to buy some of the championships better players....

Knobody really knows the real goings on at CPFC...

Hull and Swansea are all but down imho, and it looks like us or Sunderland for the third spot but we'll be spending more than them in Jan so we mustn't get too down. I'm surprised AP is still here after the Swansea game, but anyone who can say SP got us into this mess or such like has a goldfish memory, he's been a bloody miracle and is entitled to make the odd misjudgement which he will rectify once it becomes necessary, yes he has been over loyal with AP, but two key players can turn around a squad, an attacking midfielder which would make Punch, Wilf and Townsend fight for the two two wing positions, would give Benteke more service and create competition between our attackers to sharpen up our act and make our play more varied and less predictable (Lucas Lima?) and a left sided defender who can play either full or centre back could transform our defence (Ben Davies?). We went from relegation fodder to a promotion contenders overnight when we got Damo and Bolasie in a few years back. 4 points or even 3 from the next two games will secure Pards his job, my feeling is he'll still be here in Jan and we should have more than enough to stay clear of trouble - the team is defending better and battling, bad runs always seem terminal when you're in them, so do good runs, I'm still confident we're not going to end up as one of the three worst teams in the prem - not this season.

Based on yesterday we have every chance of survival.
However, if we do not keep up that intensity and fight we have a good chance of going down.
That we are even talking about it shows how poor AP has been.
Despite a good show yesterday he is not the long term solution.
i am astounded that he is still in charge at CPFC!

However, like you...I have not lost my passion for CPFC and hope something changes. Oh before you ask..yes, I am a season ticket holder, yes...I have been for over 50 years, yes...when I bleed, blue and red blood drips from me!

I go on my gut feeling and speak from the heart on most matters. I have always been very much on the fence with regards to pardew. However yesterday for the first time I looked at the table and had this horrible feeling we will have to fight tooth and nail to stay up. Despite the last two games being loses the score lines is in no way a disgrace. There are a lot of teams who faced with man utd or chelsea would have settled for those final scores. Can we stay up.. my head says yes of course we can.. but my gut feeling says we might not. I hope I am wrong
