14 games in and you can see Pardew has been trying to get the team to play more expansive football and create more chances. In my mind this is a positive and this has been achieved. To do this he has played mainly offensive midfielders. A side effect of this is we are getting exposed defensively. Do we not now need to just improve our defence ?
One of the criticism's of our managers since we have been promoted is we can't attract better players. Perhaps if our style of play is more offensive the better players will be keen to join us?
Short term pain for long term gain?
Appointing someone like Big Sam will probably mean we will go back to Pulis style soccer get the results but by looking to keep a clean sheet and picking up goals from set pieces. Will this not be a backwards step?

Wake up Man if we stick with Pardew we are heading for the championship and then see what type of player we would attract. The stats tell it all we are dreadful at the moment no leadership on the pitch, tactics all wrong, lost out ability to defend, the football we are playing at moments would do okay on a Sunday morning at Crystal Palace Park after good night in the pub the night before!

Most games are being well contested and lost by a single goal and except for some crap referee decisions we could be holding the FA Cup. The difference is one or two world class defenders.

I don't recall Man U fielding world class defenders. Rojo should've been sent off and Smalling actually was. And there's the small matter of Rooney doing something which would've been a deffo pen and red card if Cabaye had done it.
