I'd rather an unknown than Allardyce to be honest.

Rowett? Would be very bold.

Hodgson? We're the right sort of club for him but he's not very young.

Wagner? Would love it, but he has just turned down Wolfsburg.

Fat Sam meeting Parish in next 24 hours. My guess is that the talkings already been done so just a formality!

There goes any ambition we had to be a steady top ten side.

Allardyce is not without risk.

Who is to say that video was the end of the 'scandal' surrounding him?

No more came out at the time, but was that because he'd already been sacked?

Is this possibly another Malky McKay scenario, where we look to appoint someone and then a new story breaks.

Employee of the month is a good example of how someone can be both a winner and a loser at the same time.

Good points and my concern as well. Parish will have to get some assurances from him but there will be a risk. If this all flares up again in season we could well be in trouble.

Will be gutted if Fat Sam

Show's a lack of any real startegic thinking from the board.

and imo he's bent as a nine bob note

I don't get some Palace fans we were a team in decline and heading one way we sack the manager and potentially are bringing in a man who the FA felt was the best person for the England job and also holds the record of never being relegated from the premier league something that palace must avoid.

Surely this is a good thing for the club and we should all support.

His record is no better than AP

He could still end up being investigated by the fA

He has an incredibly strong whiff of corruption

Using the FA as a point of reference?

Whilst I agree that he'll keep us up...its the brand of football that I don't like and surely it'd only be short term...could you imagine watching that turgid shyte for years to come (provided he isn't stung by the press in the meantime)
