what makes you think that big crooked sam would be any vetter than pardew as a crystal palace manager?

over both of their careers pardew actually has a better win percentage than big sam!!

and if all that matters is points in the board then surely sam fuxkig alladyce would be a step down from pardew? right?

Two points.

Firstly the fact Allardyce took bungs or explained how to get them, is no reflection on his ability as a manager. George Graham, Herry Redknapp, to name but a few have shady pasts, and I am certain that if we were to scratch the surface with AP we would find the same, it's not right but it happens.

Allardyce in recent years has been brought in to save clubs that were already in some cases doomed like Newcastle, the last time he was given any length of meaningful time at a club was Bolton, who with limited resources and f*** all money managed to turn them into a side to be taken very seriously by the big boys.

Sorry three points..

I think your kind of missing my point, which is I don't think we have bad players, I think our first eleven is a match for most if not all sides in the prem, however we have gone backwards since Pulis left. I'm not saying Big Sam (crooked or not) is the next Alex ferguson far from it, but what I am saying is with him in charge, there is no way we lose to Burnley, West Brom, Leicester or Wet Spam, we may still have lost to Liverpool, but it wouldn't have been to free headers in the 6 yard box.

Come back Pulis all is forgiven

as obviously you & i have no idea if the club are even thinking of sacking pardew or talking to other candidates, but just for s***s & giggles please explain!

I don't know names but I would say that with the crop of players we currently have at our disposal. There would be a fair few managers out there that we would be able to lure in, that could do better than Pards has been doing. We should be doing better, do you not think?

but have we gone backwards? we stayed up for 2 more seasons, got to a cup final and have a stronger squad which indicentially all acheived under pardew. pulis wanted to sign crouch & walters, pardew wanted to signcabaye & benteke. so pardew has actually improved the clib since joining regardless of the current form last 6 weeks.

but surely as fans we should be able to put better candidates forward as opinions of people who would be better suited than pardew.

the fact we cant really come up with any suitable suggestions of better managers speaks volumes really.

If and I say a big IF ... because I think AP can still do a job for us ... I would want Chris Coleman as the next eagles manager.
I would want SP to try everything to get him.

seen that Ladbrokes have Fat Sam as favourite for the Palace job. I never thought I'd say this but I'd lost interest if he came to our club. I really dislike him and this goes back way beyond the recent England team mess. I hated Warnock before he came to Palace but that was a personality thing and I was prepared to give him a clean slate. But Fat Sam I don't think I could stomach.

I would say on the pitch a resounding and unequivocal YES ! think about it, you said it yourself, we have better (arguably) players now, than under Pulis, however we have won only 5 games in 33 attempts, losing in some incredibly naive circumstances, no matter how much you like the bloke those are the facts.

Then there's the obvious fact that we can apparently only play his football for one half of the 90 mins, give the opposition a goal or two head start, then we start playing. I have never seen a team be so utterly out classed in one half, then look like they could beat Arsenal with 9 men the next.

We are not playing football that we are good at. We are playing football he wants us to play, it isn't working. So change it, or jog on.

I know bookies know sod all but where the money's going, but it is interesting for all that. Pardew next to get his cards and Allardyce to come to Palace are both 7 / 2 against and "reports now emerging" that Pardew *will* get the boot if we get turned over on Saturday.

Allardyce 7 / 2
Coleman 5
Pearson 8
Pulis (!) 10

I can't see Coleman walking away from Wales and if Pulis comes back after last time I'll eat my hat. None of the above are that attractive but Pulis would surely be about as welcome as a turd in a trifle.
