He is one of the most impressive goalkeeper I have ever seen in Ligue 1. About athleticism and shot-stopping ability, and about leadership, mentality and experience too, he is for me a really great goakeeper and many premier league team are not so lucky.. without him, Marseille will be in second division this year (without exagerating) Trust him (sorry for my english)

Firstly I think Mandanda is a good keeper who is still adjusting to the PL. Hr also hasn't done anything to deserve being dropped. However it is interesting to see peoples justifications Defence all at sea with WH in goal, they don't trust him Defence all at sea with SM in goal, he hasn't had a settled defence. As with when WH was in goal, I happen to think that a keeper is one of those positions that you have to stick with the player unless their confidence is shot. WH didn't pull up any trees last season but he was nowhere near as poor as people on here make out. Equally, Mandanda hasn't pulled up any trees either but doesn't deserve a thread suggesting he should be dropped. Look at Souare, before his accident people thought he should be dropped and we should have upgraded. Now he is Roberto Carlos. People seem so quick to change their opinion based on individual errors or acts of brilliance, sometimes you need to take a longer more pragmatic view ..all fans get over emotionally involved and take everything personally with their team and just remember the last five minutes of the last game, it's just what we do, thankfully those who make the big decisions are always a couple of steps away from our feelings and are more pragmatically inclined, sometimes though you do get the occasional 'Swansea' and as I expected at the time it solves absolutely nothing ...how could they sack Gary Monk! This Steve is everything this club needed, it is not his fault that he is coming up against Brazilian like players with Rochdale like defenders trying to help him out by acting like they have never seen a ball before, we need January to save the guys in front of him, also this is not Pardews fault. Mandanda is stronger, braver, more agile and has greater reflexes than Hennessey. I've noticed that in the handful of games I've seen him in this season so far. He hasn't had a settled first team defence in front of him yet and is getting used to the PL. Think a few who were saying to give WH a season last year, need to have the same ethos for Steeeeeve. Or s*** off. As you were saying.....
Jackson.. Wan Bissaka.... Sansom.. Nicholas.. Cannon.. Guehi.... Zaha... Thomas.. Byrne... Holton.. Rogers.. that should do it.. |

Not defending Mandanda but it'd be nice to have the same back 4 for a couple of games rather than Pardew switching them every game, it's stupid and shows zero stability.

As you were saying..... Needs dropping, you must be blind to think he has been good for us since he has been in the team. All this crap about a settled back 4. He doesn't come for crosses and on the whole has been poor since playing.
