Just as well Monkey mate ... as all the self righteous Nigel's go missing & then tell people they asked for it! The lad was getting it verbally, then gave it back a bit verbally and gets blind sideyd by some cowardly Scum and gets vilified by his own fans! It's disgusting if you ask me ...

Its hard to comment on this one particular incident, because I wasn't there, but all I know is I've spent my 41 palace supporting years knowing when to keep my head down and my mouth shut and it's served me pretty well over the years. No-one deserves to get attacked from behind, but swordfish drew attention to himself and it's not like the dark old days, there would've been a lot of families around who quite rightly don't want to get involved.

My real name IS Nigel and I've tried so hard not to sound too self-righteous Kaos me old mate!!

Have followed Palace for nearly 30 years and we are no different to any other club. At away games i always drink in pubs full of Palace and if there has been trouble which is not often then the Palace fans with me and around me have all backed each other up. Back in the 80's we had a few mobs that would stand there own against most other clubs, Whitehorse were no pussies and nor was the D30. There are still plenty of old faces that go but dont go looking for trouble anymore but would sure as hell back you if you were in trouble. Facts are if you want to act in a way that might cause someone to want to give you a slap then have your wits about you and possibly have a few mates who will back you up. Otherwise keep it shut.

True that I suppose... there is an element of luck involved. Such as the video going round of the Boro fan getting kicked (although put up a good fight) by 7/8 Wet Spam fans, whilst his own fans were filming it from the coach (although they were all apparently old/families)!

I look at it in the same way as when I go out in places that could get particularly hairy, like when I go to a squat or something, you don't act like a knob and then you're generally alright. I've done enough things in my life to not care, but it just f***ing irritates me when people bystand, though.

You obviously haven't met my cat.

Or mine. Perhaps we should say animals apart from cats.

We've had 5 big rats and 4 sparrows and a seagull as 'gifts' from our gentle puss over the last year. Soft daft feline.

Was the seagull a Brighton fan?

No foreign birds then? How can you have an opinion if you don't live in the 'hood'?

Personally, I think a lot of you are currently sounding like fairly moronic keyboard warriors including a lot of people I usually have a great deal of respect for.

Swordfish was attacked. This isn't the bad old days of the 80s. Everyone has a right to go to a match without being attacked. Singing at opposition fans is par for the course, this isn't an invitation for physicality amongst anyone but the most Neanderthal in society. Perhaps instead of abusing Swordfish for being attacked, it would make much more sense to offer him some compassion.

I hope you are feeling better Swordfish.

Now far more importantly, the two girls who jumped in...would you?

If it was just two quick slaps, followed by two girls chasing them away then I'm curious as to how "covered in lumps and bruises" you are

Last time I was at Selhurst 3 Palace fans come up to me and said shall we do him? No, he's too big. And I'm a Palace fan!
