Is this post supposed to encourage our Cabaye?
1. He is proven quality
2. He is not at his peak
3. When at/near his peak he'll compliment our new style

We are far from better without him. Puncheon still needs maturing and must be benefitting from Cabaye's influence.

The sooner YC gets back to full fitness the better he is class and our new style will suit him big time.

Anybody who cannot see Cabaye is a class act and will suit our new style of play when fully fit is lacking football knowledge. AP did a brilliant job bringing him to the club and I'm sure other quality players have arrived due to Cabaye being here.
Just think when everybody is back fully fit and we get a high quality number 10 in January!!!

Totally agree yohan Is class and see's a pass quicker than anyone in our midfield.

whwn fully fit he plays alongside Jimmy Mac.

think the best off Cabaye is still to come.

Cabaye is the best passer in the team and he never wastes the ball. However he is not the fastest or strongest either. His yellow yesterday came when he was being out-run and made a desperate late tackle. I would pick him for most matches but we should be aware of his weaknesses.

Thanks Dave, I'm no expert but know a fully fit Cabaye offers alot more to the team defensively and offensively.

Well they say class is permanent and form is temporary.

But I don't think we have been seeing the best of Cabaye for some time now.

Certainly Punch contributes more when Cabaye isn't there.

It's a good question, and I would say we are better off with a fully fit and on form Cabaye, but we now have enough quality in midfield to get along without him.

I think 80k a week should be enough encouragement for the lad, anyway I doubt he reads this board and if he does I doubt he loses too much sleep over fans opinions.

1. Yes he is proven quality , but has he actually proved it at Palace?
2. Why is he not at his peak ? I know many people have made the excuse that he has been injured since Christmas , but what has actually is wrong with him? Why has he played nearly every week?, Why did the club let him go to the Euro's to sit on the French bench when unfit. Should he not have been rested and been fully fit at start of season? Did he start this season injured?
3. When do you think it might be reasonable to expect to see him at his peak?

As for the maturing of Puncheon , I hope Punch does not follow his example of yesterday of picking up a needless booking after petulantly lashing out in frustration after his shot was blocked.

If he ever does get back to his best of a couple of years back he will be a great asset and Palace will be a much better team , really hope he does , but it can be frustrating to watch and wait.

Wasn't Blown away with Ledley yesterday, I thought he had it away too much in our own half even at 2-1 down a couple of times he nearly lost it on the edge of our box. Cabals will be back fully fit soon and I expect the change to be Ledley dropping in to a sub role.

Yesterday didn't really work with both Ledley & Cabaye

Cabaye's ability as a player cannot be in question. How he fits into the puzzle of a team is.

Currently I think we are able to be more offensive with Ledley

He moves across the midfield covering whilst allowing other players to move forward. He even covers the FBs at times.

Cabaye is often harshly judged because of his shocking set pieces last season.

the dignified don't even enter in the game

He got the bird from Sunderland fans yesterday why is that because he played for Newcastle or because they feared him (or both)?
