If you did a graph its a worrying trend. I do think some of the backroom staff changes are slightly worrying. anyway I'm done with this thread, leave this site to the people who know best. Just pointing out that it doesn't necessary make you a stronger team, and since the American money has come in we have been utter sh** Plenty of teams have come a cropper chasing the dream

Last season we were about 14th in spending (and had nothing really to sell). And most of that was Cabaye and Wickham. As SP has said, it's a different environment trying to build a top-half team instead of just buy up the best of the Championship and try to survive. This summer they brought in 5 class players mostly from teams that finished well above us. They are clearly being careful who they go in for, but can't get everyone they want. The fact that Flamini would consider Palace as a destination is a great indicator. If he signs, more than half the starting 11 could be new arrivals. Great business, that seems to be part of a long term plan.
