Let us not forget Chamakh. Not only did he do it often; he did it very badly. If you're going to go down that route, at least practise.

Did anyone even hear about this at all ?? Source :- read crystal palace . Crystal Palace have had a loan bid rejected by Manchester United for Ashley Young, according to the Guardian. The report says that United have turned down Palace’s attempt to take Young on loan, with the Manchester club only looking for a permanent deal. Palace were keen to take the England international on loan, but will now need to consider whether he is worth bringing on a permanent deal. Although, it is unknown exactly how much Manchester United are looking for in terms of a transfer fee for the winger. Lintao Zhang/Getty Images SportLintao Zhang/Getty Images Sport Having sold Yannick Bolasie to Everton earlier this month, Alan Pardew is eager to sign a replacement for the winger and wants to bring in Ashley Young to do just that. Whether Young would be open to a move remains to be seen but after being informed by Jose Mourinho that he doesn’t have a future at the club, the 31-year-old may be forced to consider his future.

I'd imagine that wages are probably the issue. We're likely offering 120k to Bendertekers, and that Young isn't going to be cheap either and unlike Bendertekers, Young is likely to want a long contract. That could be committing to 20m in wages alone on a permanent deal, for a player would could end up stuck with.

It's the wages which might stick.

More I think about Young more I think we could get him for maybe £5M. Plus wages. That's pretty much what Parish just saved us on the Benteke deal ;-)
