I hope we sign Benteke and Berahino, we do need two strikers and can afford it what with the Americans money and the new tv burning a hole in our pocket. exciting times potentially. Hope your right, would give us a great plan B as well, last season we were to prictable in 2nd half of the season.

Agree 100%, I've been saying all season last we need a creative midfield general, we have/had players that can and will score goals given the right supply up front Bolasie and Zaha just do not do that often enough, they waste so much good possession it's borderline criminal, any other profession and they would get fired for incompetence.

You say that, then how many assists did he have last season, one assist, and two goals from open play so not exactly the creative midfielder, Delaney, Puncheon, Wickham, had three assists each, and McArthur two, and the only one of those that could be called a creative player is Puncheon, and he's hardly prolific, we need a David Silva type player, and Cabaye is not that he's a more instinctively a defensive player.

We do have attacking midfielders like Mutch or Lee but neither have convinced. Bringing in a proven goalscoring playmaker like Ilicic might make sense
