However recently a residents only parking scheme has been introduced in some streets around the ground, so check any signs first. There is fair sized car park in Stanley Park, the entrance to which is off Utting Avenue on Priory Road. This costs £10 to park in, however it can be quite a jam to get out of after the match has ended as there is only one entrance/exit. Otherwise it as an idea to park in the streets around Goodison and walk across Stanley Park to Anfield, or you can park in a secure parking area at Goodison itself which costs £10.

Er, perhaps you are wrong, it must have happened before. Here is a map of the boundary that CPFC 2010 own, [Link] . Everything within the red line. There was an issue with the houses behind the family section of the main stand. The last bit Noades sold off. There was an idea to build a stand that lowers as you get to the corner flags like several others. That might have just been low enough for the houses and probably kept out of the Sainsbury's car park, depends how far in you want to ascend the stand. But that wouldn't be the ultimate build and it wouldn't fit in with future rebuild of WH and Holmesdale. What it does indicate is that there were solutions. But when SP does business it can appear slow to some, calculated to others. If permission or agreements can be reached whether or not the US came in, why didn't SP progress it for the 5 years you mention since CPP or NSC were known to be a no go? Here are a few reasons for you. 1. £5mil losses. No cash in bank. 2. We were banking £20 mil in Prem season 1. £10 mil approx in Prem season 2. What was that for? Rebuilding and not borrowing. Again, money or agreed finance we didn't have when the CPP 'concept' images were released. 3. He was hesitant like he's hesitant with many things CPFC. It takes SP longer than most to sign a player. Bl33ding ages. It takes just as long to sign a manager perfect for the time (Pulis). The US investment has been huge in this progressing beyond a potential development. It is obvious. Further, the Sainsbury's car park problem is not necessarily that much of an obstacle if we did agree to take that square area at the main stand/WH corner as they, or we for them can build a 2 storey car park that slopes off well before the back windows of houses on Clifton Rd. This is an assumption but we don't know how profitable that Sainsbury's is. There's a bigger Tesco down the road and supermarkets gradually winding down to break even or losses are a drain on large public ltd's. A dramatic overhaul can sometimes be the best thing for a struggling retail store behind the times. The WH is obviously another consideration. Do you build above or build above and back? To do the latter Sainsbury's would probably have to extend South or extend into the basement. I think this has been done elsewhere. Edited by Rudi Hedman (21 Apr 2016 3.30pm) It's pretty common knowledge that we've had discussions with sainsburys about the redevelopment of the ground. I ment they owned the land they occupy and their car park, I would be very surprised if we could do anything without their permission. It's not just planning permission you need, you also have to pass building regulations, building on our own land would surely affect them. Very few people know exactly what discussions have been held or what/if anything is holding things up but it seems like any redevelopment at the moment would include a brand new superstore for sainsburys.

Yeah course you did. That's why you posted this, 'You do realise that sainsburys own the land and car park.', after I said we own our car park and Sainsbury's own their's. Maybe you need a dictionary. There has certainly been hesitancy or a methodical or a strategic management decision to delay things because we never had the f***ing money in 2010 onwards and a 'concept design' at CPP was just that, nothing more, something you refuse to admit. I've had enough of it now.

Yeah because I really think sainsburys own our stadium, that was the whole point of the protest gainst lloyds so we could buy the stadium, and what saved our club you idiot, you've shown you know absolutely nothing on the subject. You are know all but f*** all and are really boring me now. Next time how about doing some actual research on a subject you know so little about. It's not hard there are plenty of sources. straight from the owners mouth how we need to work with sainsburys to redevelop. Tara

If you're going to be specific, then be specific rather than general so I or anyone else doesn't have to go back to your previous drivel to fill in the gaps or know what you're dribbling about. As if I think Sainsbury's own our land/stadium. You said 'THE car park.' I've been supporting this club a lot longer than you. I know where our car park ends. I know what Noades leased to us, I know the history of admins and bank protests. I also know you're quite a moron. Your black and white views are very simple for someone who thinks they're smart. You're a gullible idiot. You don't appreciate finances were pausing this from progressing at all and you think football fans aren't as intelligent as you. You also take what people say as gospel when it's plainly obvious the money was being saved before anything was going to happen, but you refuse to believe it. Anyway, it's laughable. Laters. When that's built, the current one is dismantled. The the front half is built. I doubt anyone will lose their main stand ST. You might be moved from old to new upper back to new lower, but it won't be happening next season that's for sure. Edited by Rudi Hedman (21 Apr 2016 8.15pm)

Edited by Rudi Hedman (21 Apr 2016 7.46pm) Look mate I understand every point you've made. Regardless The best thing for the club is to relocate, the last thing the owners wanted to do was redevelop selhurst. As it turns out that is our only option. We could be the best and richest team in the world, it would not change a thing. The club has had to work tirelessly and hold god knows how many discussion just to make plans to redevelop the main stand and still nothing concrete, we've got problems with local residents, who will get full backing from local MP's and we've never had a decent relationship with the local council. Then we need to look into the whitehorse end, who just so happen to have a sainsburys (one of the biggest companies in the UK) attatched. They are probably worth more than every club in britian put together. Do you really think they will just alow us to do as we please and go along with it. No we will need to work with them to ensure it suits and works best for them aswell. That's supposedly the easiest 2 stands to redevelop aswell. The club haven't even looked into redeveloping the arthur due to it causing the most problems. This is a stand that half the pitch you can see and you can barely move in at half time. Add into it that the holmesdale end, not even 30 years old is sinking and you can see why it's not so straight forward. This brand new redeveloped selhurst that some fans seem to envisage is pretty much impossible regardless of money and success on the pitch. The fact is the only people who care about the club are the fans and owners, no one else could care less unfortunately for us, we need a lot of people to care to make these things happen.

Blimey, eloquent and not a hint of delusional superiority or in anyway pugnacious. MP's have a duty to their constituents but during the Lloyds protests they stepped in to support CPFC. We're now establishing ourselves as a Premier League club permanently. That's a change from a shabby 2nd tier club that cannot fill it's seats anyway. The residents that are a current issue are the houses behind the main stand and to the side of the Holmesdale, not as far back as Clifton Rd. There are a few, but if SP has his initial architects drawings ready, and it sounds as if these don't need to be changed, but surrounding bits like access might need to be, you could be fretting about nothing. What's more, construction means jobs means economic growth. That'll apply to CPFC and Sainsbury's for that matter. Plus extra jobs after. Sainsbury's are notoriously tight and apathetic when it comes to modernising. In the '90s they stayed asleep when Tesco went aggressively expanding or buying up land on the cheap for the next round of expansion, some of it with dubious methods with local councils. Look at Purley. Tesco took market share under their noses. Sainsbury's had 1 then a different Sainsbury's for decades. Look at Purley Way. Morrisons there now as well. The Selhurst Sainsbury's is a dump and never as full as the Tesco. Tesco are now on the decline. Still largest but in decline. What's more, Parish and co are more than able to communicate fairly and produce mutually beneficial proposals. I wouldn't be surprised if that's how it goes. A better store and ironically more parking. The Sainsbury's is 30 years old for a start. There are some very imaginative solutions to this kind of thing. Whole rebuild not impossible. Bl00dy expensive, yes. Impossible, no. If it was impossible SP would not be presenting drawings to those he trusts and obtaining US investment. What would be the point? He'd be better off selling up or moving somewhere everyone wouldn't want. The Holmesdale. Sinking it might be, but waiting to be the final stand rebuilt it will be able to survive for. It is perfectly acceptable for a while and impressive things can be done with foundation problems. Arfur. With other stands having exec boxes there will be little need for that there. It can be the same height as the current one and with more concourse areas but with probably less seating. Possibly one large concourse in the middle and similar entry there is now. The other stands will make up for the few seats lost there. Were looking at between 30-40k anyway, not 50k.

It is perfectly acceptable for a while and impressive things can be done with foundation problems. So why bother with it ? I agree with you, corporate facilities are a must, with tv money, clubs, rely less on ticket sales these days they really make little difference to the club. Corporate are the only ones that can make a difference financially to the club. the owners will be getting a redeveloped main stand pushed out asap, they have to to compete. Then the whitehorse, sainsburys are supposedly holding a hard bargain but thats to be expected. I see it being a win win for them, pretty sure it will happen eventually, with sainsburys getting a very good deal. so a new stand with the idea of putting away fans there. So now we have a new Whitehorse for away fans and a new main stand for corporate. Even if it adds 6k that brings us upto 32k. We've got the arthur that holds 8k, tell me what benefit redeveloping that stand would bring to the club. It would cost millions and where is the financial return. Maybe it could include amneties for the local community, tho there's not much space. But redeveloping the arthur, is the squeeze worth the juice ?
