Just because we have more money it doesn't mean we abandon prudent financial management where transfers and wages are concerned - that's the way to end up with no money.... The definition of prudent financial management could well change in the summer with the huge amount of extra money that will be swilling around Premiership clubs as that will surely see all player prices spiral
I beleive Wickham is defo good enough to lead the line, but you cannot score goals with no service, Glenn Murray proved that during his 1st season with us when he got 6 goals by feeding off scraps and half chances, a 2nd winger arrives and bang he scores goals, The thread subject title should have read 'We Won't buy JUST anyone' What a difference one word makes!

In answer to this post yes we will in the shape of adebayor but the other question is will we get anyone else in hopefully another striker maybe remy ?

Parish says in Advertiser that we are going for more firepower and sign a striker similar to Dwight Gayle ...but all rumours indicate we have accepted a bid for Dwight Gayle for £7m. Puzzling!. I dount we will sign a replacement in time. Is management getting overconfident that we are "relegation proof"
