On yesterdays performance both on and off the field, he could be a disruptive influence in the dressing room, so maybe not the right player for us.

Quite agree, interesting article on this very subject in the Mail last week.

If true, maybe a good one to have missed!

Just saw this too, he's expected to complete his medical today. Guess we can move on to the next transfer rumour.

Good grief. Why does he want to play in the Championship? I don't understand.

Neither do I. Best to move on and forget about him. Why anyone would want to join that shambles of a side baffles me.

"Look at that. Accident blackspot? These aren't accidents! They're throwing themselves into the road gladly! Throwing themselves into the road to escape all this hideousness!"

Cabaye cost us €15m, about £11m...... I know who I would prefer and I would still have £1m in my pocket!!!

What are we worried about, an overinflated fee for a good player but one that on current form would not even get in our side.

We need to buy first eleven players, otherwise what's the point?

They are certainly boosting their midfield with the signings of Shelvey and Saivet.Thauvin whom they signed from Marseille for £12 Mill hasn't made any impact and looks a bit lightweight for the rigours of the PL.

As for joining Newcastle, perhaps part of the attraction is the stadium, crowds and passion for football up there. In terms of Home attendances, they have attracted over 50,000 in 3 of their last 4 home fixtures.
