I know this isn't about the Six Nations but for all you chaps who follow English rugby I'm not sure if you are aware you have a really exceptional young player called Matt Protheroe, he plays for the U-18 side and I saw him the match against the Wales U-18's. He is a really clever, quick player. It's rare that I enthuse over rugby players but he really stood out. Apparently he is qualified to play for Wales as well.

A great day of rugby. Well done Ireland.

Yes, some fantastic stuff - why isn't rugby always like that?

A great day of rugby. Well done Ireland.

Fabulous games all three of them. Like Under 12's matches all

I tipped Ireland at the start but never thought that they would win it by a fag papers width of Points Difference.

Ultimately England, Wales and Ireland are pretty much the same quality wise through the tournament I guess.

Best French performance today by a mile but helped by England having to play unstructured broken field rugby.

Italy just keep caving in unless its Scotland and Scotlands players should be ashamed of themselves - backwards for another year..

I still think England have it in them to get the points required against France but Scotland were really poor.

England have it in them to beat NZ at times, but we always fall short johnno.... our performances against Italy and Scotland cost us dear as well as letting Ireland run the game they wanted.

We seem to excel at losing lineouts won from penalty kicks too late on with our reserve hooker!

Englands performance against France was nothing short of brilliant, yes there wasthe normal mistakes at the breakdown, but going forward we were a force of nature blowing france away.

But for a very Iffy taff ref giving a very iffy call as we were building pressure near the try line we wouldve won the whole thing.

If we play like that at the world cup we could beat anyone.

Exciting times for English Rugby.

Anyone still wishing all the final games were played at the same time?

What a day of rugby.

Can't moan About Nigel Owens. One of the best refs in sport, not just rugby. I prefer to blame Hogg for dropping the ball when he was over the try line.

think England lost the plot abit myself. did not need to go that gung-ho from the get go. could have kept composure and 26 points could have been reached. attacking expansive rugby is great to watch, but if it had been against one of the southern hemisphere big boys we'd have been smashed. this is what we need to look at with the WC months away.

good to watch i suppose, just not very disciplined in defence

But it wasn't. You play the opponent and situation in front of you.

It wasn't this game that we dropped the points we needed either. That was against Italy and Scotland.

His fatherly 'Come on Christopher' to Robshaw to stop him moaning was superb

And when he was telling off Brown and Mas (I think) after one of our tries.

Brown must've said "yes sir" about ten times

Yep - Owens is one of the best refs in professional sport for me. I know Rugby is far more 'respectful' as a rule anyway but he manages the players brilliantly.
