Also, all of the above is bollocks. Mealy mouthed politico bollocks. Only UKIP want to debate the issues that matter to the country. The Tories don't and are actively seeking to avoid the debate.

Don't see too many UKIP debates around health, education, law and order etc etc ! In any event they can say what they want as they will never be in a position to have to keep to their promises !

Conservatives are not shying away from any debate on immigration but why narrow the debate to satisfy UKIP when there are so many other areas of policy to discuss ?

Farage was right last night..... whilst we remain in the EU there is NOTHING we can do to control immigration.

I understand his meesage, however last night I thought he came across as a bit of a goon with his silly faces and theatricals.Certainly NOT Prime Ministerial at all but then again he will never attain such a position.

He can of course manage to eat a bacon sandwich without gurning.

...whilst simultaneously gargling a pint of bitter!

.... and smoking a fag!

Nigel Farage came out really well. Anyone dismissing his message is deluded. It resonates with people.

Miliband and Cameron didn't come out as badly as I thought they would. Sturgeon is a very canny politician.

Bennet is a car crash. How anyone can take her seriously is beyond me.

UKIP at 22% now according to Comres. Wonderful.

Because he is right. Politics and PC aside, some people just can't accept the obvious logic that a towns worth of immigrants a year is putting huge pressure on Housing, services and jobs. They would rather live in a delusion promoted by the left that immigration is a financial boon. Talk about a narrow view. The fact is, they want the ethnic vote and they spout their PC cobblers for that reason only.
If I hear the cliche about foreigners holding up the NHS one more time.
No one asks why that is the case.
I'll tell you. We did not invest in training for Britons and then we didn't pay our hospital staff enough. We took the cheap option and began to import foreign doctors and nurses instead.

See, reality is too hard to handle for some.

Immigration affects health, education, law and order etc etc!

Too many immigrants means GP practices cannot see patients for weeks, A&E depts. at hospitals fail to meet turnaround times, our schools cannot cope with the rising number of pupils, Romanian gangs of pickpockets/shoplifters keep our boys in blue busy, etc etc.

Sort out immigration and the rest of "policy" gets sorted too.

Someone said to me today that The "Leaders debate" confirmed what we already knew. The choice at the election is between the competence of a Conservative government or the chaos of Ed Miliband propped up by the SNP.This person some while ago had been considering voting UKIP but has changed his mind !

That isn't necessarily correct as with no party expected to gain an outright majority any of the smaller parties could become kingmakers - at a price

I thought Farage came out pretty well last night. Clever from the start to point out the 6 v 1 position and spoke in quite a refreshing, unrehearsed manner. I absolutely prefer his approach to all of the others.

What will stop me voting for him though is his foreign policy. I just fundamentally disagree with his view that we don't have a responsibility to have a foreign aid budget. The current 0.7% target is a ridiculous way to do foreign aid, but his idea of scrapping it really doesn't sit well with me.

We obviously have our own problems, but they really don't compare with those in the 3rd world or those who have to rebuild their lives following disasters.

Farage and Sturgeon are both fantastic speakers. The Welsh lady came across well,Millibands mannerisms are more like Blairs every time I see him, Cameron looked uncomfortable, not sure debating is his forte. As for the poor lady from the Greens....

I'm none the wiser where my X is going.

Indeed but the smaller parties won't need to defend themselves if they are not actually in power.

So you think health tourism is acceptable? You think that people that NHS resource should go to non Britons?
