I also loved watching MoTD on catch-up last night. They had those two ex-Liverpool lined up to talk about Liverpool's run-in and their chances of winning the title from the last game. They were so totally gutted they could hardly speak. And they certainly weren't going to give Palace credit for anything. That was left to Lineker who dutifully served up a couple of sentences about let's not overlook Palace etc.
Palace ruined the Liverpool storyline and no-one at MoTD could see the alternative. Palace were down and out after ten games and fought back against all odds and expectations. The Liverpool match mirrored exactly that. Palace were down and out after 75 minutes and fought back against all odds and expectations. Because MoTD doesn't like or care about unfashionable clubs, it didn't have the wit or imagination to spot the new storyline that was staring it in the face.

On the button, Peterg. But don't be too hard on L'pool when they just wanted to get on with it and score more. They wanted to win the title and knew a point tie would count against them. If Palace win against Fulham and Stoke lose, 10th place and £1.2m beckons. But Palace have to make up a big goal difference. I'd want Palace to try to out-score Stoke and not even the title is up for grabs.

Just enjoyed re-reading the Guardian preview of the Liverpool match on Monday morning. "Rodgers expects City to slip up in home straight." That's the first laugh.
Second, Brenda talked of not only winning but also scoring a hat-full of goals, and recalled how Chelsea beat Wigan 8-0 in the last match of the 2009-10 season. "If there is any team that can score goals and turn it around it is us."
To which I say, arrogant f*cker. Liverpool showed the same arrogance at Selhurst, strolling around as if they owned the pitch and then hurrying back for the restart after they scored their third goal, as if this was going to be a cake-walk.
Well, serves them effing right. They got what they deserved. They didn't take Palace seriously and they blew it. One of my best moments supporting Palace.

Totally agree! The arrogance of Brenda et al was sickening, especially when their previous 9-0 win over us was talked about in terms of this game being another turkey shoot. Arrogant w@nkers!

I'm glad we p!ssed on their parade and hopefully it'll be another 25 years before they lift the title.

And I see signs of half remembered days, I hear bells that chime in strange familiar ways

...but laughing at Liverpoo is funny adrian b, all the poomedia before and after just makes it so much more fun.
...and I don't think many poofans were concerned about Palace back in 91 when UEFA decided to re-admit the (more glamorous) Liverpool at the last minute!

.......has our coach driver done a Poo'yet, without thinking about Gus!

Loved the commentary on Palace Player. At 3-0 it was "game over". When Palace got one back, it was a "consolation". Oh ye of little faith!

Absolutely spot on and this has been the story all season.

I gave up getting irritated by the bias on MOTD a long time ago.

Sturridge stopping just as he was about to do his celebration, in order to kick off again quickly, makes me laugh every time.

There was a great split-screen one of Suarez, which I annoyingly can't find now, one half of which was this: [Link] and the other half was this: [Link]
