Whilst I am disappointed today.... Man city are decent and we just can't be expected to win against a team like that when they on form. Admittedly they were not at there best today but palace were not either. Thought tony pulis made the changes to attack them last 20 mins which I thought was positive but Gayle was non exsistent and tom ince, I'm sorry was shocking I thought looked well out of depth. Might of been different against a weaker team but I think because it was man city we all expected something from our players which in all honesty was never gunna happen. As somebody mentioned two moments of magic from one player toure, who is worth more than out whole team. We can take from it a positive that we didn't get battered but how much a difference it makes when we didn't need to win or get points I think we were all just there to play the game and without the need for anything we just didn't touch any of our form that we have been over last few weeks.

So that's what it feels like to lose a football match. I'd forgotten. No shame to lose against Citeh, it's just a shame we didn't get one back as I think they would have become very nervous, although I imagine that their time wasting would have become even worse. Nice to see that a club likes Citeh comes to Selhurst and feels the need to time waste so much, just a shame the ref didn't book anyone for it as they always seem to book our players when we are that blatant.
It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses. |

Very disappointing. Glad it was only two! They never got out of second gear and looked capable of scoring anytime they had to. We just didn't give them a game. Too many misdirected passes that made us look like the team we were, and not the team we had become. I know we were up against real quality but that's no excuse for simple errors. At least I think something was confirmed today because sorry to quote your post because there are a few on here i am ...thought we played rather well considering who we were playing, their professional fouls were so much better than ours, I hope our players took on board today how to kill a game of football, Man City did a very good job and fair game.
.......has our coach driver done a Poo'yet, without thinking about Gus! |

A bit of a jaded vibe about the place today, really. The players must be mentally f*cked after the last few weeks (and who can blame them) and to come out second best against possibly the best team we've seen at Selhurst all season is certainly no disgrace. In spite of all that, they didn't give us a dicking and City had to work hard throughout. I can see no negatives. In some ways, I don't really mind losing today: as someone has said, it was a bit of a reality check in the face of a certain level of complacency amongst elements of our support. This is a f*cking tough division and we really have punched above our weight this season. Next season is going to be just as tough and we should accept that we probably wont improve on this season's final position. Still, what a totally f*cking awesome season it's been. A proper vintage to stay in the memory. Safety with three games to spare seems almost surreal and, personally, I wish it was over now so we can start preparing for the next thrilling instalment. The love and pride I feel for this club can't be expressed in mere words.. Edited by Cucking Funt (27 Apr 2014 7.39pm)
