The folks I feel for are the abused Cardiff City FC "Bluebirds" supporters. They get this guy in as owner who totally trashes the club's identity, undermines and then fires the best manager they've ever had and allows the architect of that side to leave and then, when things go predictably wrong, chooses to blame everyone else instead of taking a good hard look in the mirror. Tan makes Venkys look positively enlightened. If someone knows how to get in touch with their Supporters Club, suggest that they take a page out of Blackburn's book and find the appropriate barnyard animal to let loose at the next home match.

Who's more likely to be telling the truth?
Parish and Moody who run a proper football club and run it well, or Vincent Tan with his stupid high trousers, crap ethos, retraction of the player bonus, due to NOT KNOWING THE RULES and someone who doesn't know what the offside rule is?

Right, now found out that Moody was paid off and did sign a Settlement Agreement.

That's a bit of a pity......

Not an expert but I would guess that the agreement would refer to knowledge already held although it might have a non contact clause too, but then would just be a civil case (although still enough for the FA to act). West Ham had two players purchased illegally and still survived, I think the Fa generally acts in a big club small club way so I am a little worried about this even though theoretically it SHOULD only cost us 3 points.

Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course).

So basically nobody here knows if we should be worried or not.

How soon are the FA likely to rule on any possible penalties financial or otherwise?

This is a complete waste of everyone's time. As Caulker said, this is an issue that has been going on at Cardiff all season.

Maybe Cardiff and Tan in particular are trying everything they can to drag a relegation rival into the mire?

I can't see an issue, if he did, so what? It's pretty standard for players who move clubs etc. To give their pals a text about the squad if they happen to face each other soon after. I think what Brighton did before the playoffs is far worse and what happened there? The FA must surely investigate as they've been asked to and then say, that's football. Anything else and money has changed hands.

Wouldn't any agreement of this type relate to Moody as an individual rather than his new employer? So any action would then be taken against Moody. If so this doesn't really add up when you consider that it's Palace that have been complained about. Makes me think this settlement agreement may be a side issue as far as the club is concerned.

As I said above, it is likely that the old employer would join the new employer to any claim it would make. The logic is that the new employer is liable if it knows about an infringement and does nothing to stop it or, worse, encourages it. Standard employment law.

But, as I also said above, the old employer would be put to proof regarding its loss. In such circumstances it is extremely hard to demonstrate any loss, who can say what would have happened without the breach of confidentiality.

They are confidential by their nature. The Cardiff City fans forum quoted an agreement at the time he left and assumed he got a big payoff.

A pointless thread as no one here knows what went on in this situation, if anything. All the thread is achieving is growing a pointless rumour that could harm the club. Stop discussing it now without any concrete information otherwise it will only damage the club.
