Some great posts, quite a few where I can say I was there was never a main boy but had my moments

Orient away West ham turned up and we had some real fun, unfortunately someone had a glass smashed on his head in the pub after and it all went off big time!
The pub had a lot of it's windows put in after that, and a few in the pub got a kicking anyone remember Junior?

Qpr away 82 was mental only 19 was one of the 1st on the plastic pitch with Bobby K, I vividly recall Pat T on the roof to our left braces and all urging Palace fans to invade the pitch After the game all round the bush area it was going off everywhere.

We got up to all sots of mischief but I wont go into too many details about the Seaweed and Clown scum but lots of fun over the years.
Got nicked a few times at Clowns and go away from Old bill at the Gallstone

Someone mentioned Reading, they came to Selhurst as a newly promoted team loads of chaps up for kicking off.
Some of us had a pretty bad tear up with them near Selhurst train station enough said

Naughty boy :

I bet we know each other, I remember Reading, they chased about 10 of us down Holmsdale road, they were about 50-60 handed, when we got near Selhurst station someone shouted f*** it lets have it, so we turned and started laying into them, majority of them backed off and didn't wamt to know but we had a good scrap until the old bill turned up hitting everyone with batons.
Qpr away was bad, C.Allen stuck his 2 fingers up at the Palace fans when he scored and total carnage ensued, pitch invasion followed by what was a mini riot outside, a few cars got turned over and I remember a Rolls Royce on fire.Swindon Away, Orient Away with Hammers fans and Bournmouth away were all great days. Nothing ever beat Weed and Clowns away though, Though I enjoyed those days with like minded people I wouldn't want things to go back they way as society is far to vicious now and weapons common place.I wouldn't run and would always help out fellow Palace fans in bother but would not go looking for it.

Or 4×2 from a skip

Some poor Reading chavy had a very large dentist bill that day

If you got in and amongst the Wilton/Victory/George lot?
We probably would recognise each other.

I remember a Brighton coach getting torched in a side street off Thornton Heath High Street not far from the Wilton in early 1980's. Come on. Who did it?

Edited by Kermit8 (18 Nov 2013 7.05pm)

It was a removal van which a mob of Brighton got out of the back of the pub was in darkness and they walked by unaware of our snarling presence no idea who done the deed tho

Stoke away in 1980 just before we went top of the old first division.Winning the game 2-1 probably wasnt a good idea as we had a nightmare walk back to the station.Walking past a church their boys were hiding behind the gravestones-it was like being set upon by the dead.Even the congregation steamed in!More were waiting for us on a bridge. My mate Ron wanted us to jump in the river before we realised it was only 6 inches deep!As we legged it back to the station Denny Warren was shouting STAND STAND to which someone replied YOU STAND DENNY WERE OFF!Of course once in the safety of the station it was EAGLES EAGLES!I laugh at it now but it was very frightening for a 16 year old boy and those days must never be allowed to come back.....

Palace had it outside with a top Birmingham firm in 89, decent turn out that day as was QPR away in the cup.
Burnley away on a Monday night FA cup replay was a crack.

Any one remember Oldham away ? Back of the Brighton end at the Goldstone ground was well lively one year.Luton was always a good tear up.Ipswich,Leicester, too many to go into.

All circa 1980'S....The good old days

Was not there but that was the game when the Palace special got a severe bricking from the railway embankments wasn't it?

That's the one, Burnley had a decent mob back then, they was in the Palace end for the game, proper toe to toe stuff inside the ground. Palace took about 1500 up there if I recall. Outside was carnage, train took a proper battering. Luckily I was so pissed I managed to fall asleep in one of them old V shaped luggage racks and avoided hypothermia on the way home.

Never had a ticket for the special either, bunked the Inter City up there, don't get away games like that anymore.

I remember the Burnley game-the train stopped outside the town after the game and was being stoned.Pissed off at losing to a late twice taken penalty we jumped off and started hurling railway ballast as hard as possible into the darkness.A shame my mate Ron bobbed up in front of me and caught a volley in the back of the head.Out cold I thought he was dead....

I was having a nice day out and resting on the pebbles of Brighton Beach when I noticed a bunch of hooligans on the pier. They had one of those mean dogs. The dog must have not likef the look of me because it leapt from yhe pier. ..through the air and raced up to me.I wad scared to death. The dog sniffed me then ran back to the pier and climbed back up. I could see the dog pointing at me...just then one yob gave the dog an axe and the animal hurtled over the side of the pier with one intent....to mesd me up. That f***ing dog chased me all the frigging way to Bournemouth where I could not go any further....then to my astonishment thr dog dtopped dead of a heart attack......on its stomach it had tatooed....Born a bitch die a Seagull..so I stomped on its head.
