the one i forgot was ian durie and the blockheads at crystal palace park in 1977.it was on the same day di married chas....and it was free.... Memory playing tricks bflb! Charles and Di got married in 1981. I think I was at the concert you mention. It was in 1976. Eric Clapton was headlining and I think Steve Marriot was on the bill too. But there was a concert there in 1981 with Ultravox headlining. But it was about 2 weeks before the wedding. Ian Dury was a fairly regular performer at Crystal palace bowl gigs. So it is easy to lose track. Anyway, whichever one it was it would have been great. Class act ID!! Must be something about those initials!
