Hi Steve Q. How long do you think it will take to replace GB and do you already have some candidates in mind, I won't ask if you have previously opened talks. PS Great stuff coming on here to ease the reassuring us fans.

Steve - brilliant that you are on here and interacting with fans. I think we can all agree the right desicion was made so no complaints there. A couple of questions 1 - Obviously Burley didn't work out, but what happens if the next guy doesnt work either? Do you sack him or give him next season in League 1 to rebuild (if we are relegated)? 2 - Did you come close to sacking George at any points previously? I said after Derby away that that performance was virtually a sackable offence by itself. Maybe a bit exaggurated, but certainly under Jordan he would've been gone a couple of months ago if not earlier. Do you regret not acting earlier? 3 - When can we expect an announcement on the new management team? 4 - Final one, with the likes of Dougie, Kember and Austin coming in during your reign would i be right in saying that the new boss will have Palace connections?

Just also wanted to ask, it seems there is alot of speculation over Chris Hughton, but lets just presume for a moment that he was chosen as manager do you think he is very inexperienced to take up the post, considering the team he adopted at Newcastle was in essence a Premiership side in the Championship season and therefore destined to go back up, where as Palace at present are a completely different situation??
Red n' Blue through and through..........

Hi Steve, Will you be looking to employ a manager who is out of work, or would you consider paying compensation to another club, if you thought they were right for the job? Keep up the good work! Chris.

Many thanks Steve for taking the time to answer everyone's questions, much appreciated - although our server would probably say otherwise

You can't please everyone, but I think today was when opinion shifted in a big big way. Before it was 50:50 or maybe even 60:40 in favour of Burley, but after today's performance everyone I spoke to wanted rid of him.
Hark now hear the Palace sing! |

Can you let us know who the Manager will be before the press conference so we get down the bookies and put everything we have on the new man, then come back and invest it in the club! cheers Steve!

Hi Steve. It was a real shame about GB's sacking, although unfortunately it was there for all to see, we just weren't improving at all really were we? I guess the new manager has time to get a few players in for the last half of the season ... All I think we need in a manager more than ANYTHING, is a MOTIVATOR. Under Neil Warnock we were always punching above our weight and probably didn't always have the quality but we ALWAYS got results because he was a manager the players wanted to play for and got the best out of. We need someone who's not afraid to give the players a bollocking when needed and one who can deliver a rousing speech!!!! I'm sure you'll bear this in mind when looking at candidates! Good luck and thanks! I agree
