A number of proud parents have mentioned how their children support our Palace - as a suggestion would it work to have a "Junior Palace Talk" link so they could all contribute their Palace views and ideas? By having a separate tab they could look safely (I would hope) as there should not be the strong language and tones that do occasionally occur on the normal threads. Just an idea?
No thanks

Brilliant stuff Isobel. You are a credit to your family and Crystal Palace FC. My son has just turned 9 and has been coming to Selhurst with me since he was 3 years old. We live in West London - QPR territory - so it's even harder for him to be a proud Palace fan, but he manages very well, just like you! Your essay was very well written and makes it easy to understand what supporting Palace is all about...keep it going and up the Palace!!
my boy is 8 and although we live in Brighton, he has taken Palace to his heart from an early age. He wears the red and blue with pride at his after school footy practice amongst all the seaweed shirts and understands just like the OP that glory hunting is not an option. Any kid who chooses to follow the eagles out of their own choice whether it be their local team or through family tradition deserves respect. Its not easy, but it's ultimately more rewarding in the long run!
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK YOUNG LADY, A+

Not too sure about Isobel for prime Minister. She seems far too sensible and level headed for that. She sounds too honest as well. Edited by lankygit (03 Nov 2010 8.43am)
Is this a five minute argument, or the full half hour? [Link] |

Finally got to read all this thread. Wonderful essay Isobel ! It says alot that a young lady of 11 has a better grasp of what it means to be a football fan and why in a way those glory hunting types could only wish to comprehend ! They'll never understand the true feelings all of us who follow a club for more reason than just, 'Oh but they're the best, they have Rooney and Giggs and they've won so much !', bah, an empty life for you. Be happy to just pity these type of fans who have never been to their teams ground and ignore their jibes while we attend our Club like it's our religion because we care.
Nice one Daz: [Link] CPFC 2010 - Stable and Realistic Owners at last ! Roll on Premier League Season 2013/2014 ! Great to be back at last ! PSN = eaglist |

Sat my English Language GCSE this summer and one of the questions was: So, naturally, fresh in the memory, of course i wrote about Hillsborough. I somewhat regret that now as I got a B but i suppose it was only natural for any Palace Fan. Hey, it was either that or Stockport!
