Where's Clint's club history? If you're going to quote facts then make them complete. Also, AA adds absolutely nothing else to a game unlike Morrison.

I assumed we all know about Clint's club history, and I couldn't be assed to put it up after trekking through the records to get AA's. I will if you're bothered about it though.

No, I think we'll just have to agree to disagree.

Although, I'll warn you, I'm not a huge fan of Shipps either.

Now you've got me thinking! Given that SK seems to be so keen on bringing in Mr Shipperley to be a "number 9" I thought I'd check out his career record. It's not tremendously impressive:

Played 310 league games, scored 100 goals.
That's a ratio of 0.28 goals per game.

His overall record is a bit better, in all competitions his ratio is 0.33. (although still not great).

However, playing for his most recent clubs he has been more impressive.

He scored 27 goals for Barnsley in 70 appearances, at a ratio of 0.38.

He has scored 32 goals in 82 games for Wimbledon at a ratio of 0.39.

Still, hardly better than Mr Akinbiyi...

Hardly Opta stats.Surely there are other things to consider also. How about minutes on pitch(to include sub apps.)and assists for example.

Hang on - if Clinton's got 165 starts 67 goals
then his ratio is 0.41.

If Shipps got 100 in 310 games then that's 0.32.

Get the calculators out boys.

Also when Smith had a go at Morrison and Mullins he was praised in the papers every week as we went on a 13 game unbeaten run or something.
(Not that I'm suggesting he's good or anything)

I think if Kember had said "I'll be sorry to see Ade go he's fcuking excellent!" no one would believe him because of his disaster at Leicester. So I don't think saying he doesn't fir into his plans was particularly poor management.
Alex Feguson has had millions at his disposal for his whole time at Man Utd - he's had loads of pops at refs, other managers and players and hasn't spoken to his star player for 2 months. It's winning things that counts. Kember can call Dougie a Lazy Moaning Scots git if he gets us promoted.
