What I said was that the British people voted against being part of a Federal Superstate. That is the democratic will of the people and must be respected. It is clear that the establishment cannot be trusted on the EU and has led countries to this point by stealth, bullying or ignoring democracy.

There were a variety of reasons they voted Leave with immigration, money, and sovereignty all being mentioned consistently backed up with general resentment. You can't speak for them as say "They voted against being part of a Federal Superstate" just because that was your main reason for doing so. It's disingenuous. Some of the British people. A tiny majority and I'm not as sure all of them would have been as au fait with the intricacies of potential EU evolution as you seem to be. There were a variety of reasons they voted Leave with immigration, money, and sovereignty all being mentioned consistently backed up with general resentment.

Gonna be a rocky road. The article points towards the idea of a cross party soft Brexit remain in the single market types caucus .

There s just too many variables to even guess what the final outcome will be. But if there were a range of reasons for voting for Brexit, not all leavers will get the Brexit means Brexit they thought they were voting for.
Still, you can't please all of the people all of the time.

Yes, I know the EU has its faults, but for all that overall, in the last four decades, in all its incarnations it has served us and Europe well generally considering the state of the place back in the 50's.

Lol - you are presuming that by not joining the EU Britain would have been in a time warp. The truth is nobody knows what Britain would be like now had we of not joined. The EU don't have the monopoly on cheap flights. These are available throughout the world and the EU are not responsible for the variety of foodstuffs sold here either as you say. The truth is nobody knows what Britain would be like now had we of not joined.
