Todays extra download is in two parts and features two shows by Joe Cocker - both of which were recorded at the Fillmore West, San Francisco in 1969 and 1970. Both shows are in superb quality with the audio for both shows taken from the soundboard. These are a tribute to Joe who passed away a few days ago. Some great tracks on these two - and if you like Joe Cocker then grab both of these... thoroughly recommended...

Todays first download is an album of early recordings by Genesis which were recorded before the band had any commercial success in the days between 1967-1969. These are in superb quality and the audio has been taken from the studio master tapes and they sound top notch. They include demo versions, rough versions, remixes.. including some of the tracks remixed with additonal guitar by Steve Hackett in the late nineties. These tracks have nothing in common with later Genesis work other than the musicians, but the vocal harmonies and keyboards are there. If you want a taste of Genesis before fame and fortune... then grab this one...

Todays extra download is a set by The National that was recorded at the Lowlands Festival, Netherlands on the 16th August 2014. This is in superb quality and the audio for the set has been taken from a soundboard/webstream audio rip and it sounds top notch. I've not posted that many shows by The National over the years - only a handful according to my files. This is a good set and if you like The National this is thoroughly recommended...

Todays second download is a set by Nirvana that was recorded at the MTV studios in New York City on the 10th January 1992. This is in superb quality and the audio for the set has been taken from a dvd audio rip and it sounds absolutely top notch. Only 9 tracks including a couple of soundchecks but a top version of "Smells Like Teen Spirit" being played. This is not the unplugged MTV show that Nirvana did - this is an electric show. If you like Nirvana then grab this one... this is great stuff and is thoroughly recommended...

Todays first download is a set by Joan Jett & The Blackhearts that was recorded at the Bottom Line Club, New York on the 27th December 1980. This is in superb quality and the audio for the show has been taken from an FM broadcast of the show on WNEW-FM and it sounds top notch. I've not posted that many shows by Joan Jett & The Blackhearts according to my files - only a handful. This is an early Joan Jett show and she plays a top set which includes her biggest hit single "I Love Rock 'n' Roll". If you like Joan Jett then grab this show - this is thoroughly recommended...
