This post summarises exactly why these rioters must be restrained, arrested and punished.

Seeing “waves” of violence by “refugees and Islamists” just because some boneheads on the internet tell you there are and then encourage you to riot, so you do, is mindless.

We have a knife problem. We arrest and warn many found to be carrying, but most are not. Some will go on to commit atrocities. Knowing which one from a few thousand is demanding the input of mystic Meg. Not a policeman.

I was discussing these events with my wife yesterday evening. She tells me that some of her colleagues at the hospital are now feeling scared to come to work, let alone go out at night. About 1/3rd of the nurses have been recruited from overseas but a higher proportion of the doctors are.

If this is how people feel in Truro what must it be like in the big cities?

What a disgraceful situation that is. It makes me feel ashamed.

Then when I heard on Radio 4 how a family in Middlesborough had to barricade themselves upstairs to protect themselves from rioters, having had their front door smashed in and their car written off, I had tears in my eyes. The story was told by a little girl who has 2 younger siblings, all British born, who couldn’t understand why her brown skin mattered. She was terrified. This was though just one example of hundreds.

I also hear that countries are issuing travel advisories to their citizens warning them to exercise caution in the UK as it may not be safe.

Yet people still try to justify this!
