It's a trope that minorities aren't successful. Some are and some aren't.

If it were true that Europe was a terrible place of disadvantage for minorities then this simply wouldn't be allowed to happen.

If European societies were like Arab or Chinese societies and some other East and southern Asian cultures it would definitely be true that minorities wouldn't be allowed to be more successful.

Still, I just get the impression that Dan believes what Dan wants to believe....because it fits his bubble.

Because we had law and order dating way back before the empire which gave us the foundations for the industrial revolution.

To a large extent, yes. There’s a good example in the not so distant past that highlights what can happen when someone thinks ‘successful’ Jews are running all the institutions and working against the interests of the country. Would recommend reading up on it as it might help you understand why it’s an unhelpful label.

Who said 'all' and who made a value judgement....None of that has been said.

Regardless, 'Hitler' isn't an answer or relevant as to whether something corresponds to being true or not.

It's an absurdity, but not unexpected.

I’m confident my bubble is a lot wider than yours. Yours doesn’t seem to extend much beyond this site, which is just more and more a frothing right wing hellsite where the hound dogs chase out anyone who dares to have a differing opinion to them.

Why stop there? Were the ancient Egyptians not advanced? They had law and order too.

Europe - why do you reckon that is Danny? Know your history? You’re opening a massive can of worms if you want to delve into Europe’s interference in Africa over the centuries.

When modern Europeans went into central and southern Africa they found they weren't using the wheel.

Yet, it's our 'interference' that harmed Africa? Anti European waffle.

Egyptians, and north Africans in general are genetically quite different from central and southern Africa. There hasn't been much mixing at all.

You realise it’s possible to help advance an area technologically and also structurally engineer it so that it’s Europe that still continues to this day to benefit from its natural resources?

Everything isn’t as binary as ‘good’ or ‘bad’. You can recognise all the good that Europe did in Africa but you also have to acknowledge the bad which has held many countries back at arms length and not been able to benefit fully from their own natural riches.

That's just your lazy stereotyping and prejudices lad.

Weren't you the one who came on here talking about challenging opinions....yet when yours are challenged against reality suddenly we get the victimhood.

But Danny said ‘Africa’. It’s almost like you can’t use a broad label to neatly pigeonhole a large group of people.

All societies are composed of good and bad, however some are far more successful than others. Exploitation of others, is a worldwide reality of elite classes in all societies. It happens both internally and, if the society is successful externally.

The British empire was meant to be for the benefit of the British but the reality is that it mostly benefited the elites who headed it. For example, if you have looked into the British rule of India you will find that it cost the British state more than it took out in resources.

Of course the British did all the things that empires do....imperialism isn't about egalitarianism. However, compared to just about any other large scale empire we were saints.
